We stumbled upon this place and were not disappointed. It has a fun vibe… pool table, patio, lively music. The service was slow, not gonna lie, but the waiter was awesome. Free chips and salsa, which was a smoky chipotle salsa, and so good. We tried several tacos, and the brisket was by far our favorite. We also got the street corn, but it wasn’t great… they need to switch up the recipe for that one. Tacos, chips and salsa, and drinks were so good, we didn’t care about the corn. Margaritas are amazing there… I don’t like tequila at all, and I thought the watermelon margarita was delicious. We definitely plan to go back!

This was a fun place, it is loud, so if you are looking for quiet, pass this by. But wow!! The food is really good! Bottomless chips & salsa, tacos are excellent!! It is a great place to party, they do have music at night. Service was good

Atmosphere was what you’d expect, in a good way, of a Tex-Mex joint. It has TVs, pool tables, decor to match the theme and a lot of tables. Felt very open and inviting.
Food. Well, it was edible. The Salsa Bar consisted of two salsas. A red and a green. Both were so overwhelmed with garlic and salt, it’s literally the first time I’ve gone to a Mexican/tex-mex restaurant that offered free salsa, and didn’t push those limits on refills. I couldn’t get through a single serving of either salsa.
Tacos I ordered were OK. Carne asada. The meat was actually really good and cooked well. Wasn’t rubber. The garlic/salt overload persisted however.

Was the best happy hour in Boise hands down until they raised their prices almost immediately. Atmosphere was fun and inviting. Was there for the Fiesta Bowl and it was packed, but the servers did an outstanding job getting us what we ordered timely and checking in on us given the circumstances. The food is not great - chips and salsa was the only good part.
I was able to pop into el tejano before heading to an event! Matt was able to reccomend drinks and food for us! Did I mention we came during happy hour. I was very impressed with the location, the service given by matt the General Manger. I am definetly returning .

I visited with a friend. She raves about this place! We had the best service. I love the light decor and atmosphere. This restaurant is huge! It can host large parties, hot dates, and a fiesta🪅! Fast and friendly service. The owner dropped by to say howdy. I’d go again!

I cannot understand any of the negative comments on this restaurant/bar. Full service bar with great beers, flavorful food, and you can pick your own ambiance.
If you come in Monday through Wednesday, the specials are phenomenal. Happy Hour Mondays, BOGO Tuesday, Wing Wednesday ($.50/wing).
The service has been great anytime we come here and the prices are reasonable. The staff are friendly and willing to resolve any issue and the food. Comes out hot, flavorful, and does live up to an Idaho experience of Tex Mex.
If you came here in the first 6 months of this restaurant or left to review, is probably wise to give it another shot because this is the new happy hour king of downtown Boise
