Came to Form and Function this morning for a meeting. This was my first visit to this coffee joint. Walking in, I noticed how clean and pretty it looked! I love the brightness and simplicity of the coffee shop. It has two levels with seating upstairs. There were pretty flowers on some of the tables in coffee cups. I thought that that was such a fun to display flowers.
I ordered an iced mocha today. They also offer breakfast and pastries. The pastries looked delicious! I only stuck with the coffee. I do look forward to coming back and trying on of their baked goods.
My coffee was good. I probably should have asked for a little more chocolate. It could have been a little sweeter so I added a couple packets of sugar. But overall it was a great cup of coffee.
I had a really good meeting at this venue today. It was nice to see all the locals out and about this Saturday morning! I look forward to coming back and having another cup of coffee.

Cool vibe but coffee was nothing to write home about. Bigger issue was they forgot about the breakfast sandwich so it took 30 minutes to get. Things happen and I get that, but to make it even more disappointing the eggs and bacon on the breakfast sandwich were cold like they came right out of the fridge. Was not expecting a cold breakfast and it was not good.

Minimalist, fresh aesthetic and good coffee. Their avocado toast is pretty but definitely overpriced.

Good coffee and great place to work. The service can be a bit slow, so make sure you’re not in a rush. Note to the owner: stop charging for non dairy alternatives!

We tried 8 coffee shops/roasters in Boise to find some quality beans for our Moccamaster brewer. Every place we visited was great with very nice staff. However, for our taste, Form and Function had the smoothest tasting coffee, Ethiopian Natural, which they made in pour over. It was balanced, not a bit sharp, bitter, or too strong. This was also the only shop we visited where anyone knew what a Moccamaster brewer or European Gold Standard coffee were. They actually sell Moccamaster and had one on the shelf for sale. The employee was wonderful and helpful. The pumpkin bread was fresh, moist, and delicious. We bought a bag of the Ethiopian Natural beans and probably will subscribe to them. The brew date on the bag was fresh - 4 days ago! I do wish they had a different location with parking, but for subscription beans we can have delivery. Clean, naturally lit, calm environment near Trader Joe’s. Highly recommend for those looking for quality beans done locally.

Came in on the weekend when it was busy, and the staff handled it professionally while upholding quality of the coffee and food. Best service hands down, plus a great place to hang out and get some work done!

The place is clean and large. I like the minimalist decor. It feels modern and welcoming. The location is not great. There is no parking in front, so you have to find parking on the streets for 2 hours or pay for parking. We had cold brews which all tasted bitter. That was not a good experience. Their breakfast sandwich was very good. However, I would not go back just for that due to its location. If you are already in the area, you may want to give it a try. Their other coffee options may be better. I will say the service was great. I can't say it was a hit, but also can't say it was a miss.

My husband and I are traveling full time and stopped here to work for a couple days. This place checked all the boxes. Great coffee/chai + music + service. Plenty of seating options, went at varying times throughout the day and we were always able to find a spot. Parking was a little tricky so be prepared to walk a little. But that's a given being downtown!
Would definitely stop here again when we are back in Idaho!

Coffee is great but the lady in the front seems to always have a bad day.
