One of the coolest places I've been to in Boise

I had made reservations one night for the main bar area. They called me within the hour to tell me my reservation wasn't available and that it was double booked so they said that there was a spot open in the Garrison room, so we said that was fine. We show up to our reservation and they told us they won't let us in. Then they still charged us after all of that! What a horrible experience! They are unorganized and their website is very misleading on what they offer and no one there is on the same page. If I could give a no star review I would.

Our uber took forever dropping us off with construction downtown. We were 16 min late for our reservation and weren’t allowed in. I get there are rules but still pretty bummed as it was our anniversary. They said they had already given our table away but we understand it to be reservation only. Weird

My husband and I took a quick trip to Boise, and I’m so glad we came here! It was so much fun! I really appreciated the commitment they had to the prohibition-era theme. The experience and service was top notch, and the fact that all the cocktails came with some kind of gimmick was incredible! Plus, the prices weren’t even bad. I couldn’t recommend The Gatsby enough. I want to take another trip to Boise just to go here again!

I've come here several times, and made reservations the weekend my sister + brother in law were in town. We showed up to our reservation and they didn't let us in. Apparently, my kitten heels were considered flip flops and they told me I needed to change to be let in. I never write a bad review, but given that my heels were visibly completely different than a flip flop, I was so heartbroken to experience that rejection and not provide the experience I was hoping for my visiting family. So sad.
Wouldn’t let us in because they consider Tory Burch sandals to be a flip flop. They didn’t have a strap behind the ankle. They are 100% not flip flops. Seems a little pretentious! Very disappointing
We went and found the door. We knocked and knew the password. No one ever came to the door, answered the phone, and only replied to an email that said the location is being renovated. We drove 45 min to stand in a dark sketchy alley for 25 min with no possible way of knowing they were closed.

We were a party of 10. I submitted an online request for a reservation. It was a week later and I still hadn't heard anything back. I called them and was advised they could get us on the schedule no problem. We did not have any food, so I cannot speak to that, but the atmosphere was very awesome!! The decor was very cool. The lights were dim so it felt like you were actually in a speakeasy. The waitresses were in flappergirl attire. The presentation of the drinks was just amazing!! I don't want to spoil the fun, but it's definitely worth checking out!! There is no outside seating for the elderly so you might have to wait awhile to get in. They will not seat you early unless most of your party is there. The music was very loud so we had to yell just to hear each other. If you are a larger person the seating is not as comfortable. We had to squish 4 of us on a couch and we had one butt cheek on the couch each with the other one up in the air lol My advise is to not go with such a large group. I'm looking forward to going back!!

Our group waited on the alley while they made sure none of us would steal from the library. We were admitted to the library where our library cards were checked (ID’s are absolutely required for entry). Once we made it through the secret door, it was a very comfortable and cozy space for our group to sit around and easily talk with each other while consuming a wide variety of special drink drinks Staff were friendly and amazing Well none of us tried the $550 shot of aged whiskey. We were happy with the more reasonably priced cocktails.
Rad little place, great attention to detail on everything, including the drinks.
Apparently they will turn you away for wearing shorts on the hottest day this year (this far.)
Its Boise, not NY.
Shallow.
This was such a fun experience! It was very immersive and the drinks were amazing. The staff was so professional and sweet. All of the drinks my group got were tasty and very fun!
