Service was good, atmosphere was cute, and I imagine it gets better when it's cold out in the central fireplace is on. Unfortunately, all of the food that we had was pretty bland. I'd go back for beer in the atmosphere, but the food definitely leaves something to be desired.

We tried this restaurant on our way back from a ski spot called Boggus Basin (about a half an hour north )after we first moved here. It was good. We really like the clam chowder which is Fridays only. It’s one of our favorites we’ve ever had. In Boise we didn’t expect that it would be so fresh and homemade. They have gluten-free beer, which my wife was thrilled about. I had the delicious Hippie Shake. We have enjoyed the chowder and the Ruben the most so far.

There isn’t one thing bad about this place! The food is bomb and so homemade. The service is always good and we can have our dogs on the patio!

Got carryout last night. Love the burgers and fries. But...please stop putting salad in with the burger. The burger is served open face and the top of the bun was soaked in salad dressing. As a general rule, you don't mix hot food with cold, especially not a salad. And don't put so much dressing on. We'll make sure to ask for it on the side in the future. Lastly, don't appreciate you sneaking in at $1.00 carryout fee. We always tip well, and this just encourages us to cut back on the tip to make up for it. We're not your ATM. I suggest you make this up in your food cost by cutting back the overloading of condiments on the burgers that we don't want/need/use and too much dressing on the salad.

Classic old school Idaho pub feel, with lots of wood, a circular fireplace, nostalgia galore. Also gigantic portions from a wide-ranging menu of all types of comfort foods. Oh, and terrific housemade beer and a good glass wine list! And terrific, friendly service! And an adorable patio where you can bring your dog!

Vegetarian options: Get the polenta and black bean dish and you will not go hungry!

Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian, GF

Kid-friendliness: Lots of kid friendly fare, in a casual, roomy dining hall.

This place used to be good but the customer service has gone downhill the last two times I've been there. It's a nice looking place with a great theme especially when you're on your way back from skiing up at bogus... but the burgers were dry and lacking flavor, I never got my drink, no one else's drinks got re-filled. Everyone kept their ski gear and beanies on because it wasn't very warm inside. The large group next to us stayed bundled up too. The first two drinks I tried to order were sold out. It's a brewery so I asked for recommendation of a house beer that was like a Hefeweizen and the server offered me a pale ale and admitted he didn't know anything about the beers. The hummus plate was awesome but I was on a budget and the prices on the menu affected my choices but when I got rung up, the prices were higher than they were in the menu. I know it's a small thing but we all asked for fry sauce and we got three when there was five of us and ended up putting it on the burgers because they were dry and the ketchup bottle on the table was empty. Our server was super busy with other tables. It wasn't terrible but nothing to write home about and we'll go somewhere else next time.
