I really wanted to like and be excited about this place. We went once for breakfast for a Packers game and it was a lot of fun. The owner served us and was super nice and attentive and the food was good. I went with my family for an easy dinner tonight and had a completely different experience. Monday night, not that busy, and it took almost an hour to get our food. We were willing to look past that as things happen and our server said the flatbread my husband ordered takes a long time. (?) When my daughter and I ordered meals with fries she asked if we wanted ranch or fry sauce. We both asked for one of each. I had one Diet Coke, then asked for a refill (again, there over an hour). After dinner I wanted a little more soda and she hadn't been back so, honestly giving a somewhat busy server the benefit of the doubt, I walked up to the bar and asked for a refill. She saw me and I told her I knew she was busy. When we (finally) got our bill I was charged for two diet cokes and we were charged 75¢ each for our four sauces. Had we been told of all of the unexpected charges, no big deal. I questioned the charge for two diet cokes and she said they only come with one refill and I had two refills (including the one I had to get myself). I commented that between that and not even getting one dip/meal (sauce) included OR being told of our up charges was disappointing (it wasn't about the price amount, it was about the principle.) She slapped the bill down and said she'd get her manager. We did NOT ask for the manager, but sat there waiting. I finally went to the bar and asked to just pay for it as the server said she was getting the manager but we didn't need to talk to anyone, just wanted to pay. The server was seen across the bar chatting with a group of friends (?) and co-workers. Not serving a table, visiting. Leaving us to wait on I guess nothing. I paid and when we went back to the table she was pointing at us (?). SUPER unprofessional and went from zero to nasty. Food isn't terrible but I will not be back again based on the service and wonky up charges. (My husband paid for two beers and we all got meals, so it wasn't like I was there trying to scam them out of Diet Coke refills!) Bummer, seems like a cool place.

After our initial feeling of being ignored for 8 minutes, our server did come & get our drink order. Drink was very tasty! Beer was ice cold & yummy. We were there for an hour or more having drinks & saw all kinds of delicious food brought by us until we couldn’t take it any more and ordered! Nachos & garlic Parmesan cauliflower. It was the most disgusting food I’ve ever eaten! We took a couple bites of both dishes & couldn’t eat anymore. When our server asked us about the food we told her how much we disliked it, she didn’t really respond. She took the full dishes back to the kitchen without an apology. What surprised me the most was that there was no mention of a discount or subtraction of the cost of the food! We paid full price for food we couldn’t eat, without so much as an apology!Very saddening! I doubt if we’ll ever bother to try food here again.

Hooligans has changed a lot with new ownership and mostly for the better. They have a lot more organization that has brought in a more respectful crowd. The food is better than you'd think, and the mixed drinks are surprisingly good. The best part for us is they are within walking distance of our home. This was the first place we took our son for some adult fun when he turned 21. Fun memories.

The only reason this is getting two stars instead of one is because of the bartender, Danika, who was super pleasant. This bar is dingy and so is the clientele. Food was disgusting too. Greasy onion rings dripped grease when you bit in and probably the worst French dip ever; small and dry. The worst part is that they allow smoking on their patio, so not only can you not enjoy a nice day outside (although the patio has zero ambiance to invite this), but every time they open the door to go to the patio, nasty smoke wafts into the bar. A definite one and done for my friend and me.
