Usually we love this place but apparently the GC location doesn’t play by the same rules. Rude staff. No thanks.

Food was subpar. Atmosphere was crowded and loud. Not the fault of the restaurant, just an observation. Service was excellent. Our waitress was on top of everything and checked on us not too much, but enough to make sure all our needs were met. Food was not good enough to return though.

Food portions were incredibly small for the price. Especially considering the bulk of the food was rice and noodles. The cocktails were also very small. I ordered a $14 cocktail that I finished in 3 drinks. Most of it was ice. However the waitress was really good at her job.

We went to dinner with some good friends so the community time was spectacular. The service, ambiance and food did nothing but add to our time. Very enjoyable evening.

We ordered the burger, the grilled cheese and a sushi roll to share. Food came out super fast and was fresh. The burger was perfectly cooked on a soft Hawaiian style bun topped with a pickled cucumber salad, but neither one of us liked the hoison sauce and it over powered the whole burger. The sushi was just ok, similar to higher quality grocery store sushi. The winner for the night was the grilled cheese with candied bacon and shishito peppers. It came on thick Texas toast and was served with thin crispy garlic Parmesan fries. Delicious greasy crunchy slightly sweet. I would def go back for that.
Somehow I never made it to Ling and Louie's in Meridian, but I visited the new Boise/Garden City location recently. I met a friend there for happy hour and had the Pomp & Circumstance specialty cocktail (A unique twist on a french 75 with gin liqueur, lychee, citrus and sparkling rosé 14). It was delicious! We also ordered the Korean Cauliflower and Calamari. Both dishes were deliciously spicy. Our service was exceptional and it was surprisingly quiet in the bar area so we were able to carry on a conversation. I'm definitely going back to try their sushi menu.

I typically do not write reviews, however, this wasn't the greatest food experience. We visited on a weekday and stopped for a quick appetizer and some sushi instead of sitting in 5:00 traffic on the way home. This visit was during the Chinese New Year and there were vegetable eggrolls on the appetizer menu which sounded great. Unfortunately they arrived sitting in a puddle of oil. I should have sent them back, but didn't. My fault. My husband and I each ordered a sushi roll. He had the spicy tuna which he said was "just ok". I ordered the sunrise roll and it looked like it was someone's first time making sushi. The presentation was terrible and looked super sloppy. It would have been fine if the food was amazing but it wasn't. Just a disappointing experience overall. I will say the $65 we spent was a complete waste, but again, I take responsibility for not saying something when the food arrived and I should have sent it back. There are much better asian fusion places in town and definitely way better sushi. Save your money and go somewhere else.
