Sorry to complain, but we have probably eaten there the last time. Waited 45 minutes for food this morning and our server didn’t seem to care. Wife could not get a second cup of decaf coffee and I found a black hair in my eggs. I guess loosing their famous Merritt’s sign is not all they lost.

Waited nearly an hour for my breakfast which came without toast. It and my husband’s plate were delivered when I was half done. No decaf refill. Snappy waitress said she’d been there 9 years. When we remarked about the wait, she said, “Can’t you see we are busy?” We watched people seated after us get food before us. Food was good but we won’t return. Too bad; love the scones.

Delicious food and wonderful customer service. They don’t serve scones though, it’s fry bread.

I’m not sure when this place was good, but it’s not now. There are a lot better breakfast spots than this place. Food below average. Service slowwww. Gravy a flavorless congealed mass.

The people were all very friendly. Including some of the Patrons. It is family owned and has been passed down from generation to Generation. The food was excellent with large portions. The restaurant has that old time Diner feel because it is genuinely an old time Diner that is still run with that same family atmosphere. The people that come there are mostly regulars but the occasional traveler such as ourselves that finds this little gem will feel included.

Been going to this place for decades. Mostly in the middle of the night. ? But things have changed. Super expensive. Food was only average.

Great food, their scones are still a highlight of their breakfast. The server was courteous and very efficient

Service went downhill so swiftly. server was more attentive to her child that was eating at the table behind us that any other customer we waited for over an hour for our food another family walked out before even receiving theirs and the food was room temp. Absolutely disappointed considering we've been regulars here for over 10 years

My husband and I went on a Wednesday morning around 9am. It wasn't overly busy, but people coming in picked up a bit after we sat down. Service was phenomenal, our waitress was very sweet. The cook read the order wrong and didn't end up making my dish, so the waitress brought my husband's food out, and we waited maybe 10 minutes while mine was cooked. The food, over all was underwhelming. For $20 and $15 for the Ranch Scramble and the Super ranch I expected a larger portion, much like they used to serve, but was disappointed in what was set in front of me. The flavor was.. lacking to say the least. I mostly tasted cheese and the occasional ham bit. My husband said he had quite a bit of bacon on his though. The scone was good, but crunchy where it should have been light and fluffy, and the cinnamon sugar on it was overly cinnamon and bitter. Merritts isn't what it used to be, but I am glad the local place is surviving still. It's a boise landmark.
