The people were all very friendly. Including some of the Patrons. It is family owned and has been passed down from generation to Generation. The food was excellent with large portions. The restaurant has that old time Diner feel because it is genuinely an old time Diner that is still run with that same family atmosphere. The people that come there are mostly regulars but the occasional traveler such as ourselves that finds this little gem will feel included.
My husband and I went on a Wednesday morning around 9am. It wasn't overly busy, but people coming in picked up a bit after we sat down. Service was phenomenal, our waitress was very sweet. The cook read the order wrong and didn't end up making my dish, so the waitress brought my husband's food out, and we waited maybe 10 minutes while mine was cooked. Traditional cafe that started as a truck stop in 1928. The breakfasts and lunches are wonderful; large portions too. The place can get crowded during lunch and weekend breakfasts. Parking is sometimes tight but it is well worth the trip. The coolest thing is the old-style juke box. Maybe the only one in Boise? I always enjoy this place. You should too!
