Do NOT prefer from this via Door Dash or any other way. This place is closed indefinitely even though the website says it’s open so Door Dash basically steals your money and will NOT refund it.

Wow. I’m not sure I have EVER had a meal that tasted like the EXACT opposite of what I was expecting.
I will NEVER eat at this establishment again, it was that bad.

The mighty have fallen. I reviewed when it was Ramen and now its garbage. The karage was ok and the boba too, but oof what a sodium bomb. Whoever gave this 5 stars is on something. I got my food and I get msg vibes when my food glows. Improve. Don't eat here.

I really enjoyed the steak teriyaki bowl from here, honestly some of the best I’ve ever had! Same for the boba tea. A little expensive and a bit of a wait, but worth it in my opinion!

I ordered to go food on Saturday night 2 protein Teriyaki Plate Steak and Chicken . Steak was so thin and over cook it was like leather . Chicken was charred to the fact it tasted awful . The orange chicken I also ordered was cooked right but the flavor was way off . Would not order from here again .. Could've made it better at home .

Oof. This place was so dirty. Tables, chairs, condiments at the table, napkin holder near the fountain drinks, etc. If the front area looks like that I can't even imagine what the kitchen looks like. It's counter service unlike the other Nara locations, which are full service restaurants. The woman working the cash register was nice but quiet and wearing a mask and clearly sick. The menu is pretty limited and despite the fact that we were eating in the restaurant everything was served in to-go containers, so much more fast food like than an actual restaurant. The food was edible but not very good. A lot like Panda Express but Panda Express is better. I love the Boise (Bown) and Meridian locations of Nara. I'm not sure how they can even be using the same name because they are not similar in any way.

I was shocked to see all the horrible reviews after having a fantastic experience at Nara. The high quality food was some of the best teriyaki I’ve tried in Boise. You can tell the food was made fresh, and it tasted so good. Portions were great for the price you’re paying (especially compared to other local teriyaki places). We were overall impressed by our experience and meal, and will DEFINITELY be coming back!

I rarely leave a bad review but this place deserves it. Maybe they have a new owner because the ramen has gone down hill big time. There teriyaki chicken has also gotten inedible as it is hard to eat. We use to come here as downtown is such a bother looking for a parking place and to many people to enjoy our food and getting around downtown.

Absolutely disgusting!! The chicken teriyaki was inedible. It’s was extremely rubbery and the veggies tasted rancid. A complete waste of money. The quality of their food is very poor and makes Panda Express look like a 5 star restaurant compared to this monstrosity that I was served! GO ELSEWHERE 🤢

Edit: Went from 4* to 1*. We went for ramen and they had changed the menu. I understand adding new items, but I was told to go downtown. I understand to a point, but going for ramen downtown is a pain. Downtown means finding and paying for parking. I just want a healthy easier meal that is quick.

Solid ramen, love thier spicier options. The black garlic is also tasty, but rather strong flavor.

Did their menu change? Went there last night with my wife and we got terrible food. Heavily fried pineapple chicken was like something from a bad Panda Express. I’ve been here before and remembered them having better food. Not sure what happened. $30+ for two entrees and had no vegetables. Just heavily breaded chicken and rice for $13 each. Spring rolls were ok. Also fried and didn’t appear to be in the photos
