Not all Black Bear Diners are the same. This location off State Street was phenomenal! I enjoyed "The Grizz" with 2 pancakes ? 2 bacon slices ? 2 sausage links, a slice I thick ham, and over easy eggs ? . There were 8 of us that dined in on a Sunday morning, and the wait time was no more than 5 minutes. Our sever was very polite, and we enjoyed our overall experience ?

Great food coupled with excellent service. We had dined at the Eagle location where we were greeted with smiles and great attitudes. All this paired with excellent diner food with an exceptional waitress. I believe her name was Mary. We didn't have time to ask for a refill as she was already on top of it, ensuring we always had what we needed in a timely manner, going above and beyond our expectations. Our son had a strange request for a side of mushrooms with his maccaroni, which she fulfilled and put a smile on his face. It's the little things in life.

Never ate here till recently on 2/27/24. Lived here for most my life always seen it across from Walmart in garden city. Totally regret not trying them out sooner. I had chicken fried steak the small portion as Rhiannon "my server" put it. And it was an old school good size portion. For a great price. My Fiancé Had the chicken club and loved it. Costumer service was great. Thank You Rhiannon & Katelyn. I don't usually write reviews but I had to this time.

We are very pleased with this Black Bear Diner location. We have had negative experiences at other Black Bear Diners so we had quit going for a couple of years. We are glad we decided to give them another chance and chose this location since it’s near our house. We’ve only had good experiences so far but today was a busy Sunday morning so our expectations were set accordingly. First of all, our server, Kyla gave us the best customer service that we’ve experienced anywhere in a long time. She was very attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond our expectations. The food has been better than I remembered from a couple years also. Everything was cooked right and it was good quality. Chris, the manager, came to check on us and seemed very invested in us having a good dining experience.

This location is so much better than the other one nearby. Everyone is super attentive and sweet. We got a table and our order very quickly. I love that they employee handicappable people! A wonderful experience always! My only criticism is that I would like to order the chicken fried steak with the pepper cream gravy, not the country gravy as I cannot eat pork.
Food was fabulous and Kyla was excellent. thank you for your great service. Fast service and very attentive. Kept our drinks full.

My husband and I went to Black Bear around dinner time and we ordered breakfast. The bacon and sausage must have been from the morning. Nothing was fresh as they advertise. We didn't eat very much as the food was disgusting! Once I got home, I threw up all my food. I would never recommend this restaurant!
