O'Michael's Pub & Grill

Went in for a drink after work to chill out at a fun pub a friend recommended. The second we stepped in the atmosphere was super tense and the bartender was really cagey. Basically waited until last possible moment to then come over and ask for drinks order...when there was only 5 people in the bar counting us. I'm sure it could be a fun place but that experience left us uncomfortable and unwilling to return. Shame the place looked fun.

90 minutes and we are still waiting for food. I’ve been here before. It’s a pretty basic burger. Never again.

We love a good Irish pub, and enjoyed this one enough to go back a second time. The food was good, although the corn beef and cabbage was not available, which was disappointing. Still, there were other options like the Rubin and Doublin dip, which were very food. My wife had the salmon salad, a huge portion of leafy greens. They had an Irish session one night and an open mic the second visit, both very enjoyable and well established. The pub is a bit dark, but seems to be par with the overall atmosphere. I would recommend it if you like good fare and a friendly local pub style scene. We will certainly come back when we are in Boise in the future.

Not sure about the food, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. Was just passing thru, meeting a friend really quick. Really liked the atmosphere & service. Would definitely go back. My friend highly recommended it & she lives in town. Apparently they have shows there, which would be good to see. They have a nice spot for it.

Love O'Michael's for a great finger steaks meal. The steak is tender and home cut fries! Add a cold beer and you have a winning combo. Friendly staff are the bonus.

Service was great and we had some fun conversations with the bartender. We seek Irish pubs for the vibe and a good Smithwicks pint and they delivered on both. We had some appetizers and some of their single order jumbo prawns. The prawns were a bit small for $7 each. We ordered two and they gave us a third to compensate for the size. For a landlocked state, they were all quite small, chewy and bland, for the price. Fun ideas but not a jumbo prawn. This place is definitely worth a visit, but I'd save the money for some extra clams which were thoroughly enjoyed.

Went for a late dinner and got the best surprise! They had live music that was amazing and great service by Terra who helped fix my small issue and made out experience amazing!

Had the Monday build your own burger deal, the burger was cooked well the bun was soft and fluffy the sautéed mushrooms were delicious and the bacon cooked perfectly. Definitely a place worth trying.
