We ate dinner tonight and the food was AMAZING! Scallops, calamari, clam chowder and prawns with the Huckleberry Cream for dessert. Liz our waitress was so friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and just perfect! The lady who took us to our table was friendly too! If we are ever back in Boise, we will eat here again!!!
So so good. The food was delicious and staff was simply wonderful.
Great first visit for my wife and I and did not disappoint. Great food, atmosphere, and service. Shout out to Jasmine C for facilitating an exceptional experience.
They were out of our wine selection so it was more expensive. Also out of the sides offered. Our waiter was very slow and not very attentive.
This was a delicious place to eat and the staff was amazing!
The last time we were here a year ago, the service was terrible but the food was great, this time it was the opposite, the service was much improved, but the food was SO bland that it was really disappointing, whoever is cooking is afraid to use seasonings apparently because between the steak and the mashed potatoes, and the green beans, there was no flavor. Also, don’t park in the underground garage, both times the card reader couldn’t read our ticket and we had to call to have someone let us out, their system clearly just doesn’t work! Ridiculous.
Stock up on menu items, they were out of all kinds of stuff when we went
I ate here with three colleagues -- my first time at this location, although I have eaten at the Spokane location. My experience was excellent -- loved the atmosphere, menu, wine list and food. The service was attentive, kind, helpful, and highly professional. It was a very nice evening.
Truly terrible. Weekday lunch with my Mom for a special occasion. Service was slow (but made up for when the friendly staff realized it). Two dirty vodka martinis (which came with straight Tito's and not "dirty") for Mom and a Pinot for me. Ordered calamari for an appetizer that was so salty, burnt and hard that the (accommodating) manager tried it and agreed - he said they add too much salt to the "Anthony batter mix" (note to self: a reminder of why one should stay clear of chain restaurants). The manager re-ordered a second calamari, that was edible, and comp'd it along with a desert. Fish and Chips for Mom (3 small pieces of overcooked fish) and for me a seafood toast that was passable. Desert was a berry shortcake. Several berry theme deserts were on a table tent as the specials, so presumable they were fresh, but the shortcake itself was like a hockey puck (unbreakable and inedible) - perhaps it came from the Anthony batter mix corporate headquarters during hockey season? And finally, with the "comp'd" appetizer and desert the lunch bill was $120 (so not really sure the "comp'd" part was communicated down the food chain, but by that point I just wanted out!). Honestly, it was the worst lunch I can remember! PS My Mom is Italian, so I am still hearing: "Can you believe what a terrible lunch we had honey"?!
I'm originally from Seattle and know well all of its Anthony's locations including SEATAC, which used to sell a fantastic Dungeness Benedict on its breakfast menu. I'm still baffled by Boise's claim to inclusion in the PNW and I'm not sure this Anthony's outpost credibly bolsters the claim. We were disappointed in the menu and in our entrees and thought both fell short of what we're accustomed to from the company's Seattle-area locations. Service, decor and ambience carried the brand's sterling level of guest experience but it just wasn't the same as dining on the coast in the chain's sister restaurants.

Anthony’s has a great happy hour menu and locations all over the Northwest. It never disappoints. We enjoyed several plates, the Caesar Salad at $5, Mixed drinks at $7.50, regional wines and more. Our server Eric ( who mixes a great Aperol Spritz) & his manager were great and solved all of the problems when their computer system messed up the happy hour prices. We will be back!
i'm going to make this short and sweet. I will never step foot in that restaurant again. My husband and I went out with a group of people so I didn't bother to complain while I was there because I didn't want to disrupt our time. We ordered the chiopino and a Caesar salad. We were going to share our meal. When our food got to our table they had split it for us so it was in two bowls. It wasn't even enough to satisfy a baby. We each had one tiny and I mean tiny crab leg, One muscle, One clam and a 1 inch piece of white fish which I assume was cod... all that was in about 5 tablespoons of broth. Everyone at the table noticed how skimpy and ridiculous our meal was. I thought someone was pranking us! what a joke. Cioppino is my favorite and I've eaten it all over the country. This was by far the absolute most disappointing version I have ever seen. The place is overpriced for one thing. and pretty pretentious in their description of their dishes. here is how it's written on the menu. Dungeness crab legs, wild salmon, Manila clams, Kamilche Sea Farms mussels, Alaskan cod, seasoned tomato-basil sauce ha ha and didn't have one piece of salmon! I was thinking maybe the cook that may have forgot to put the fish in! or maybe the fish just swam through it! I truly wish I would’ve taken a picture I just didn’t want to be obvious.
The scallops were extremely good, the silver salmon was a bit dry as were the accompanying mashed potatoes. By far, the service was the best part.
We had been to Boise several times and had not tried Anthony’s. It was our Christmas celebration and decided to give it a try. I’m not a seafood person but everyone else is so you know to expect a mediocre steak at seafood places. I was wrong! My dinner was just as great as everyone else’s. The place was beautifully decorated and the service was awesome. Our waiter was able to answer all our questions about the menu. They listened to our likes and dislikes making recommendations for items we might try. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable meal. Yes it’s pricy but in my opinion totally worth it. I will be back.
Staff was great! The calamari, crab dip and crab stack we’re all great! We were split on the clam chowder. I thought it was really good, no woman thought it was fair. May be a little too much potatoes.
