The pho is good, but the spring rolls were so small I left feeling kind of ripped off. For $8 I expect a lot more than 4 finger sized wraps. I wouldn’t pay $1 for each of those let alone $2. I don’t think I’ll be back.
I ordered the medium pho with steak. The portion size of both the steak and noodles was pretty disappointing with only a couple pieces of steak and maybe 6? Bites of noodles. I asked for an extra portion of steak thinking surly this couldn’t be the actual portion size and was brought another 3 small pieces… I know beef is expensive right now but… you’re basically only going to get broth and a snack lol

Again I came to Boise and went here 4 times for 4 nights. Not just the best Pho in Boise but the best Pho in the counrty. Truly exceptional food, taste fresh and the flavor was out of this world. Again BEST in the country!!!

This is the worst pho I’ve had by far. The broth is literally water

I used to come here when Pho Le first opened, back when it was legitimately one of the best places in the world to eat. Huge portions, great ambience, awesome service — the kind of spot you proudly dragged friends to and said “trust me.”
Fast-forward to now, and wow… what a fall from grace.
When I walked in, instead of being greeted like a human, the host yelled at me across the restaurant asking how many were in my party. I said, “Just one.” He told me to pick any table and went right back to doing absolutely nothing.
I sat there for about five minutes completely ignored, while the servers were clearly slammed. There were only two servers on a Sunday night, scrambling to keep the place afloat — meanwhile, the host sat up front scrolling on his phone, drinking soda, and playing with his long hair like he was waiting for his Uber, not running a restaurant.
Eventually, I walked back up front and asked for a menu — which is when someone finally realized I was there to eat.
The food came out fairly quickly, I’ll give them that. Unfortunately, the pho itself was tragic. The bowl contained maybe one ounce of meat total, and the meatball was sliced so thin it looked like a piece of deli lunch meat that accidentally fell in.
The broth was bland, cheap-tasting, the culinary equivalent of warm disappointment.
The garnishes were the saddest part:
• a couple of dried-out, blackened basil leaves
• a few bean sprouts
• one single slice of jalapeño
While the servers continued running laps, the host remained glued to his phone as my drink sat empty and I poked around my bowl wondering if the rest of my meal was hiding somewhere under the noodles.
I did finally receive water at the very end of the meal, just in time to wash down my regret.
All of this for $26.
Twenty-six dollars for skimpy portions, awful service, bad ambience, and a bowl of pho that feels like it’s actively cutting costs mid-bite.
Pho Le used to be incredible. Now it’s a rip-off with a nostalgia tax.
I will never be back.

Fast, delicious, food that warns the heart. We went with the basic pho, no add-ons, simple. Great broth and perfectly spiced. Could have used a touch more fresh herbs with our portions, but the fresh jalapeño was a delight. Server was clearly an owner or just very vested on the business. Very friendly and encouraging, positive vibes all about. It seemed like locals were showing up the whole time. It was great to hear Vietnamese in the kitchen, added an authenticity and honesty to the cultural iconic food we came to enjoy.

Decor is lavishly done but the food is not. The broth in the pho does not have much flavor. There were only a few pieces of meat in my beef pho and hardly any garnishes to go with it. Service is ok as they weren’t busy at all and took the server time to take my order.

This place is so skimpy! The summer rolls are $7.50 but half the width you would get from other pho places. My soup also barely had any meat or noodles for $15.
I really enjoyed my meal here — I had the spring fresh rolls and chicken pho, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious! The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Highly recommend!
