There’s something I’m not used to here in the Gem State - Asian restaurants stepping out of their own cultural lanes to offer dishes of other countries. Each country has distinct flavors and textures.In this case, I’m pleased with the flavors of Dong Khanh. A pho place near the Boise airport. They have booths and tables as seating options, and the parking lot is large but shared with other stores. The wait staff was friendly. I had the pho special which includes tripe; only one size is available. I found the flavor of broth to be tasty enough that I didn't need to add any sauces and I also thought the meat to noodle ratio was pretty even. The bun bo hue wasn't too spicy for me.
