One of my favorite restaurants in Boise! The food is always amazing and the owner and staff are very friendly.

Family run, mom is in the kitchen and dad runs the floor. Best goat curry I’ve ever had. Cooked with love is an understatement

Amazing food and excellent service! Great place to have an Authentic meal. Portions are enormous and perfect for sharing. If you find yourself downtown, definitely stop in! 100% recommend this place.

We ate here last Friday. Downtown was packed, all the restaurants were packed, and Taj Mahal was not. There were about 4 tables total while we were there.

Food was good. I have no complaints about the food.

My complaints center around the service. There were two servers, one male and one female for 4 tables. We ordered and were told food was cooked for scratch so it takes longer. It took one hour and 15 minutes to get our food on a night when the place was not even 1/4 full. No real explanations other than the initial one from the wait staff. We ran out of drinks and I had to go inside to request refills. Wait staff didnt really check in much at all.

Again, food was good, but not "1 hour and 15 minutes" good.

We decided to branch out and try new types of foods. The food at the Taj Mahal Homestyle Indian and Pakistani Cuisine was so full of flavor, the portions were great, everything (salmon, goat, chicken, beef) all cooked to the perfect tenderness. Even some of the combinations that sounded “different” to me were to die for. The staff was so sweet and great with giving suggestions and history on the dishes. We will definitely return!

We had a wonderful time at Taj Mahal tonight :) The atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious. The service went above and beyond! We will definitely be coming back. We loved the whole experience.

Food was very delicious. Most authentic South Asian food I’ve had in the US so far. The chai was very good and I love the Guy Fieri menu items. I can handle a lot of spice so it was fine for me, but fair warning that for people not used to spice- even mild might be a tad bit spicy for you (but should be manageable). Look at the menu for prices first. I think it’s a bit overpriced but was worth it as this is one of the only restaurants with authentic Indian food in Boise. While the ambiance was good, the table was too small for us. We could barely have all the dishes on the table, and had to set all our stuff down and be careful handling cutlery. The table just felt very cramped.

When placed the order, it was communicated pickup ready in 45mins. But it took them 2hrs to get one dish ready.

We did not have much time when we came in for lunch today and the Taj Mahal staff were very accommodating for us. We tried hot tika masala, mild tika, mild butter chicken, garlic naan, pakora and chai tea. I thought everything tasted excellent and it all came out steaming hot. They cook everything in house here and do not use any dyes in their food. Right up the escalator near the balcony bar. Worth a trip in! I will be back, my family also all enjoyed their food as well.

This is my favorite restaurant in Boise. I come here often and always enjoy my experience. The food, the service, and the quality can't be beat. The family that owns and works in this restaurant is absolutely wonderful, and their food is spectacular. The people here are so warm and inviting, and the food is just the same. The flavors are authentic and tasty and never fail to put a smile on my face. It's obvious that lots of love and care goes into this place. I deeply appreciate the people here. Thank you for the amazing meals and for everything else! I am extremely grateful to have a restaurant like this in my community!

I would enthusiastically recommend Taj Mahal of Boise to anyone and everyone visiting this city! The atmosphere is quiet and so gorgeous!! You truly must experience Sohail’s (chef/owner) creations for yourself. I lack the vocabulary to describe the flavor experience that he and his wife have crafted for all of us to enjoy. He even took the time to come out of the kitchen and joke around with us!! As a repeat customer, I wish I could spend more time in Boise for if only for Taj Mahal Homestyle Indian and Pakistani Cuisine’s food and extensive beer and wine list alone. MOST IMPORTANTLY, in my opinion, as a former server and bartender, the service is IMPECCABLE!! Emery (hostess) seated us promptly and was super sweet. Hamza (the GM), is one of the most attentive, personable, and truly delightful humans I’ve had the honor of meeting! If you want to eat something amazing, and enjoy yourself, for a more than fair price? Come here. If service is important to you? COME HERE!! THANK YOU TAJ MAHAL for a truly wonderful evening, If had the ability to rate this place infinity/10, I absolutely would!!!
