Our family of seven, including a 4 year old, dropped in the evening of December 23rd coming from Spokane. We were not expecting anything fancy and that's what we got -- and it was great. We didn't have a reservation and we only had to wait 10 minutes. The atmosphere was good and service was great -- especially our server. Sorry we didn't remember her name.
My salmon was okay but my husband's steak was about 2/3 the size of a deck of cards. The entire meal was over 2 hours and not of our design. The restaurant service, food and atmosphere wasn't up to the $200 we spent ... and that's disheartening considering two years ago this was a regular spot for us.
Good food, very nice restaurant! I love it is very close to the lake. Definitely good service and I will be back next time I am in CDA.

Sweet Lou's Restaurant & Tap House is a family-friendly place with a great view of the downtown park and lake. The tap list offers excellent beers, along with a large menu including non-alcoholic options. The outdoor seating area is busy in the summer and provides a nice open and airy feel, especially with many windows. The restaurant has a variety of unique dishes and quick, friendly service. The adult grilled cheese and calamari are highly recommended, and the smoky bacon is flavorful. The patio area is pet-friendly. The egg roll jalapeño popper appetizer is a must, not too spicy and had good flavor. The pepper jelly sauce that came with the appetizer is something that would be amazing added to a sandwich or burger. The boneless house bbq wings are loved since the chicken was good quality. The Prime Rib French Dip is one of the best.
