“Our neighbor is always scouting for new restaurants to try. She found Bacquet's and she and her husband invited my wife and I plus two other couples to join them. Reservations were made.

Bacquet's is a French restaurant, located closer the east end of State St. in Eagle, at the corner of State and Hill. There is a very nice patio area as well as the indoor dining area. The inside is nicely decorated with paintings and movie posters, for example, Casablanca. The tables have nice tablecloths and, of course, cloth napkins. It was a hot day so we sat indoors.

Our server was a very nice female brunette. I'm sorry that I did not ask her for her name. She explained the menu and the specials, and took excellent care of us. One thing she emphasized was that she would not rush us. The entree would not be started until after we received our appetizers. We were to have a fine dining experience.

A bottle of wine was ordered. Appetizers included the Ocean Flatbread, with prawns and scallops as toppers, and the Porcini Purses with Wild Mushrooms. They also served up a tasty bread, with whipped butter. For the entrees, my wife and I had the Prawn Aglio e Olio, a pappardelle pasta dish with Black Tiger Prawns, garlic, and red pepper flakes, tossed in olive oil, which brought a little heat. Others also got this dish, while others ordered the veal piccata.

All of the food was delicious, and, again, the service was excellent. They did not rush us, to the point where we arrived at 6pm, and stayed until after 9pm, when they close at 8pm. So, they were very gracious in allowing us our time.

Bacquet's in not inexpensive, so some may want to reserve their visit for a special occasion. However, I highly recommend this establishment. I was a wonderful experience!“

“Navigating the Construction for a Bodacious Reward 🐷🐷🐷 Today, I had a lunch meeting at Bodacious Pig Barbecue, and we were determined to get there despite the construction on Old State Street. The road work is a bit of a mess, but it’s a small price to pay to support a local business that has been an Eagle staple since 2013. The restaurant, located directly in the heart of the construction zone in front of the Old State Saloon, is a prime example of a business persevering through difficult times. Stepping inside, the aroma of slow-smoked barbecue instantly makes you forget the detours and road closures outside. We wanted to show our support and encourage others to do the same. If you're deciding where to eat this week or weekend, please make the effort to visit them. A little bit of effort on our part goes a long way in supporting the local businesses that make Eagle great.“

“we are visiting from Utah for a few days. we randomly chose to go to Romio's for dinner. what a great choice! we ordered Greek platter. there was enough food there for two of us. our food came out to us nice and hot and absolutely delicious! we were so full that we had to take our tiramisu to go. our waiter was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. we highly recommend Romio's. we' ll be back the next time we come to Boise. “I go to Star, ID once a year to visit family, and we always stop to get my favorite cookies. I absolutely love the sea salt peanut butter one, and sea salt white chocolate oatmeal one. My mother-in-law comes to see us a couple of times a year. She already knows to not show up without cookies. She had to bring a bunch while I pregnant because I craved them. So these cookies are 100/10! I absolutely love them so very much!“

I ordered via doordash - the reason for no 5 star review - (1) I order tomatoes as a topping, they came - sliced fresh in a separate container - please read that again - toppings, that were not cooked on the pizza, but came in a separate container.

I've had the opportunity to try pizza in many states and a couple of countries outside the US. I don't think My bewilderment would be considered strange here.

The only other reason for the 4 star review is, when I called and as politely and diplomatically as possible asked about this and shared feedback, like, maybe the website and order process should call out the fact you wont actually get tomatoes as a topping was met with - equal bewilderment - I could tell the individual listening thought the suggestions were odd

so, bottom line, if you order from here, you are probably going to get a great pizza - just don't order tomatoes as a topping thinking they will be placed on and cooked on the pizza - they wont unless you ask specifically - thank you“

“We ordered cupcakes for delivery and upon delivery they were smashed and all over the box. We called Smallcakes and the customer service was amazing!! Michelle refunded us and offered to send a new box of cupcakes. We will definitely order from them again and will highly recommend! The cupcakes were delicious even smashed.“

When I got there, my wife and I put the kids to bed and spent time together before having dinner. When we opened it we were in for a big surprise! “I love Acme Bakeshop! Their sourdough bread is my favorite - fluffy and delicious. I frequently buy loaves at the Co-Op and they are always high quality. I have also gone through the bakery for their holiday orders and the process was easy with no issues for pick-up. Their ciabatta rolls and cranberry sourdough loaf are amazing seasonal items I love having at family gatherings during the holidays. “I never understand why this place isn’t busier. They have a fantastic happy hour menu. All the servers are so friendly and welcoming. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere. They have a lovely patio. Every kid gets a full cup of crayons and some coloring books. They have a little arcade room. It’s a great place to bring your family. My kids love the build your own pizza. I’m a huge fan of the mozzarella sticks (I love how thin they are and there’s a good crunch) and the vegetable Alfredo. The portions are huge.“

“Jakers Bar and Grill was an unexpected treasure! We enjoyed our entire visit! Our meals were delicious! We started with the Tender Steak Bites & Mushrooms, then each had a delicious salad… both were excellent! I enjoyed the Fish & Chips and my fiancée enjoyed the Coconut Shrimp with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. The Irish beer was most excellent! Our server, Ms. Sherry, did a wonderful job meeting our needs!
