“I've been a fast-food fanatic and aficionado since I was a small child - for over 50 years now. So, for a fast-food establishment that I visit for the first time to make a big impression on me, it's got to be really good. Arctic Circle in Soda Springs, Idaho passed that test with flying colors. My wife and I ate here for the first time ever while staying in Soda Springs in mid-August 2025 while on vacation in Idaho and Wyoming. First time here and I will already rank it up there among my all-time favorite fast-food joints. The food was delicious, the service was good, and the old school retro vibe to the place was right up my alley. Great light up sign out front to boot. From my research, Arctic Circle first originated in 1950 Utah, and they now exist in several western and northwestern states. From my trained eye regarding retro architecture, I would estimate this location in Soda Springs likely dates back the 1960s or 70s. The evening we were there, I had a black angus bacon burger/fries/drink (#6 combo), and my wife had the black angus ranch burger/fries/drink (#1 combo) which was a similar build to a McDonald's Big Mac - but much better. The basic menu here consists of burgers, chicken sandwiches, fish sandwiches, chicken and fish baskets, corn dogs, salads, onion rings and fries. They also have a variety of frozen treats including shakes, sundaes, cones and smoothies. Similar menu and similar set up to your classic Dairy Queen - but better. We had a nice relaxing meal in the nice relaxing town of Soda Springs which is remotely tucked away in the southeastern corner of Idaho. What better way to spend a vacation evening, 1000 plus miles away from home. Hopefully we'll get back to Soda Springs and Arctic Circle at some point in our future travels.“
