“This was our first visit to Salty Bear, just outside the typical season for the area. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor of the food. The portions were generous, larger than expected, but everything we ordered was excellent. The staff were friendly, the tables were spacious enough for a family, and we appreciated the option of both indoor and outdoor seating. We’ll definitely be back.“

“They have a good double basin cheese burger. Fries were also good but a bit salty. The service was great, they don’t have a place to refill drinks but the girl was nice at the window and refilled it whenever we needed. It can get really busy here. We went in the later afternoon and it wasn’t too bad. It can also be a challenge to find parking, I would park a couple blocks away and then walk.“

“Great burgers, fries and amazing shakes! Good indoor seating, some outdoor too. There's a play set for kids in the back, a shady tree in the front and a nice, paved parking lot. The staff was all very kind and made accommodations for our celiac disease (or gluten allergies) when making a raspberry shake, which was so delicious! Note their fryer is not dedicated for fries and they make chicken strips in it. Highly recommend and we will be making Merlin's our new Bear Lake tradition.“

“We are old timers at Bear Lake, having ancestral property. We avoid the touristy stuff. On a quiet day we decided to try the Ephraim diner out for the first time; anticipating it to be a disappointment. This is experience talking here- best raspberry shake I’ve ever had. We also ordered the double bacon cheese burger and loaded fries“
