Mama Fla The Authentic Italian Cuisine

My wife and I were traveling trough Idaho falls, and stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant. Mama Fla was the sweetest lady. She wined and dined us with authentic Italian food. I’m an Italian/ American that loves to cook. Her food was fresh and delicious. I would heavily recommend this place if you’re in the area. We had Mama Fla reach out to US and wanted to come out for our school fall carnival event. We confirmed with them 4 days before the event that they were coming. They then cancelled on us the day of the event. The reason was, they decided to go to a different event. We didn't have very many food trucks coming so we were disappointed that they had let our school down and our students down.

I had high hopes for this place, but sadly the food that I got was bad enough I don't think I'll ever return. I ordered meatballs and ciabatta but received ciabatta and a ground beef mixture in a distinctly non-meatball shape. It was horribly seasoned and swimming in oil. A friend ordered two different risottos, and the texture was so off that I didn't realize that it was supposed to be made with rice. It was just goop. My wife ordered cheesy gnocchi which was okay. Not great, just okay. The owner was quick to give us a refund for the missing meatballs. (We still don't know what I actually received.) Maybe we just ordered on an off-day, but at the price, I won't be giving them a second chance.

Authentic Italian Food! We are so lucky to have Mama Fla in Idaho Falls. I have purchased her ravioli, lasagna, and pomodoro sauce at both the Farmer's Market and Broulims and they are nothing short of delicious! You will not be disappointed!

They closed down the dining now and only take out. The food is surly frozen and reheated. The lasagna was super super greasey, and not good. I got heart burn within an hour of eating it. My wife and I ate half and threw away the rest.
It may be 'authentic' but i think they're struggling so much that the food is not fresh anymore. I will not come back. I'll go to olive garden better.

Fla and her mother are absolutely wonderful people. Talking with them was like talking with my own family. Not only did they leave me with a long lasting impression, their food was absolutely to die for. You can't find anything that is comparable. I have ordered multiple times and usually love it but I recently ordered from the food truck and it was horrific. I got chicken Parm that tasted like vomit. The chicken tasted boiled and was precut in the sauce, and the chicken was not crispy at all. The sauce was so bad I couldn’t even eat it on a slice of bread. On another dish the risotto was undercooked. I usually love the cannolis so much but this time they lacked flavor, so it just tasted like I was eating chalk. I threw everything out sadly.

Most authentic Italian food around. Owners are the best too. Highly recommended.

I asked 5 times to be removed from the weekly text list. They are unable/ unwilling to do it. I also found their products to be far too creamy/ cheesy. Rich to the point of being unappetizing.

I have never actually ate their food. But I have had to deal with one of their drivers a few times on the road and he drives like a complete a****** I just witnessed them go through a 35 mile per hour zone. Residential at almost 60 miles an hour.

Since they switch to a truck it's not good at all. Which is tragic considering the price. Microwaved to heat up made the alfredo separate and the risotto was super watery it was practically a soup. It's too expensive to be that poor of quality. Probably not coming back. Sorry to see such an icon become this.

Honestly one of the best Italian places in the US. My wife’s family is Italian and this place has their rare approval! Probably the best restaurant in Idaho!

Great atmosphere, Dean Martin on the sound system, best Lasagna I have ever had. Tiramisu was perfect. We will be back?
