My wife and I went here for lunch and had a great experience our server was extremely friendly and kind she visited our table multiple times through out our visit. We had a great meal which was delicious and well plated and prepared.
We have long been driving 2hours to eat at Smoking Fins. One of our favorite spots when we visit Idaho Falls. Right from the start service was great! Unfortunately that was the only thing good about our visit, something has changed and not for the better. The food... the menu for lunch is minal at best and missing some of our favorites. The lobster Tots were dry, flavorless and overall tasted burnt. 2 of us had the crispy chicken sandwich: cold bacon, a small chicken strip, soggy...
We had oysters, a California roll and the Nigiri platter. The sushi here is excellent. The best I've had outside California, and it gives some of the better sushi restaurants over there a run for their money. The entire experience was perfect except for the chopsticks, which were probably the lowest-quality I've ever seen at a restaurant. They should switch brands but it's not a big deal. This is an amazing restaurant!
