It was not our first time, but it didn't disappoint. Very interesting menu excellently, prepared food, and attentive service.
The menu is full of delicious options. They had several specials for Easter that sounded wonderful. My husband and I don't do well with rich foods/sauces so opted for the cheeseburger. It was delicious, cooked perfectly and quite big. Fries were cooked perfectly as well. Both the servers we saw were very pleasant. It was Avery nice an Easter dinner.
The entrees were surprisingly exceptional. Each of the dishes we selected was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The dessert we tried was good, but did not blow us away like the entrees. The cocktails were very good and we enjoyed the bottle of wine that was suggested. An excellent place for a special dinner.
Amazing atmosphere great wait staff food amazing this is my now go to place in lava hot springs
The food was exquisite, we had a beautiful view of the Portneuf River. Our server was excellent. A wonderful, dining experience.
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Inn and the Portneuf Grille & Lounge was a big surprise. Our waiter Will served us a great meal and was great to talk to. We look forward to another visit soon.
Truly such a great dining experience. Will took exceptional care of us. Every part of our meal was perfect. We started with the baguette and butter. The bread was crusty and delicious. Then they split a wedge salad for us and it was one of the best I have ever had. The blue cheese was soft and creamy and there was lots of it on each salad. And then the cioppino did not disappoint! It was made just like it should be, loaded with great seafood, and the broth made you want to clean your plate with your bread. We had after dinner coffee. And then Will made us a chocolate hazelnut martini for dessert. So wow! I can't wait to go back again.
Derek and Will did an amazing job. Fun banter and the food was amazing. The filet was 10/10 and we are picky! Came here a few years ago and almost did not come back. MUCH Better experience this go around ! Good job !
Very nice, quaint restaurant along the river. There was outdoor seating as well as indoor. We got the duck leg and the salmon which were both very good! The chef was very talented. We had a very nice dinner!
Wonderful time. Excellent service from our server who is also our bartender. Pointed out had fresh lobster and a nice oregon pinot. Food was excellent. Will go again when in lava hot springs

We were seated at 5 and were the only ones there. All the table were full by the time we left but we received excellent service the whole time despite them being short staffed. Wonderful food, happy hour drinks!
Very mid and dusty. A place you go to and forget about. Employees were nice. Service definitely slower than in a bigger city. Only complaint with food was the chocolate croissant, it was likely old and microwaved for wayyyy too long so it was hard and chewy. As for chocolate, it’s just Hershey syrup on top. Quiche was good. Crepe had frozen berries.

Cute little hotel lobby coffee shop with a small breakfast menu. There is nice seating, but aware that it is not a sit-down restaurant with wait staff. Iced and hot water is self serve with cups by it.Coffee was good and hot. French toast was great. Frozen fruit topping was offered with the French toast--fresh would be s nice step up.Cinnamon roll was great.Alexa was friendly and prompt.

We were very excited to try this place however our experience was not the best. Bar has awful selection, wine list was awful. We wanted to start with the scallops however they were out, wanted the prime rib, they were out, wanted cheesecake, they were out. On a Saturday? Really? Our server even though she only had a few tables kept bringing everyone wrong food. Was even billed for soda water. Had the ribeye, was ok, overcooked, she had chicken piccata, was not piccata, was a 1/4 roasted chicken in a cream sauce. Pricing is very high for the food and the service. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
The service was great - our waiter, Jaden, was the best part of the experience. It was a busy weekend in a tourist town (not at peak season yet but, like all tourist towns, the restaurant struggled with balancing available waitstaff to hungry patrons). Jaden made sure that we were not waiting a long period of time for food or drink. The proteins we had, salmon and trout, were cooked almost perfectly. The sides (sauteed vegetables and rice pilaf), however, were not - the vegetables were highly over seasoned with something that tasted like Mrs. Dash and the rice pilaf was mushy steamed white rice with a few things thrown in. We also ordered a caesar salad to share. Although decent, I'm pretty sure it was a bagged grocery store salad. With a couple of glasses of mediocre wine each, our tab came to $125 without the tip. Not an overall terrible experience, but the price coupled with the lack of less expensive options (sandwiches, entree salads, etc.) would drive me to opt for ordering beer and appetizers only.
