Food and staff were great! The vibe is nice as well - -1 star for cleanliness, the floors are covered in dirt, the bathroom looks and feels dirty… if that’s how the costumer area is, makes me wonder how the kitchen is 🤔

They might offer “Gluten Free” pizza but it’s cross contaminated. So if you really need to be gluten free you will want to avoid this place. Yes the pizza tasted good but the aftermath is far from worth it!

Our meat lovers pizza was very good. I also ordered a garden salad with chicken and it was huge and the chicken was very good. The place gets a lot of swimmers visiting from Lava Hot Springs, so the floor was dirty and the front window area is really dusty. They only had 1 server, but she was doing a great job.
We came to dinner at the Royal while visiting Lava Hot Springs, we have ate here several times and have always had a great experience. We came on Thursday and decided to come again on Sunday. Sundays experience was less than ideal. My husband ordered a 14”calzone which he had also ordered on Thursday. On Sunday when he ordered this after taking a few bites, he got several pieces of chicken that were still frozen. The outside of the pizza was hot and well done but not the inside. After just trying to eat the entire thing and not say anything we decided to tell one of the waitresses. She was polite and took his food back to make it right. After about 10ish minutes, our waiter brought his food back in a pizza box, not sure the reason it was packaged to go but he opened the box to finish the calzone, the chicken was still not cooked completely. The outside was definitely heated again but not the chicken. He ended up eating the glorified bread and cheese and took out the chicken. We were never asked if the food was better, we didn’t get any kind of discount or any other offerings. We always make this a first stop to eat but I’m afraid we won’t be back in the future. After spending $80 on food we will take our business elsewhere. Another party of the group also had ordered a calzone with chicken that was not done but with our experience of sending it back and not having it fixed he also ate the glorified bread.

We have gotten this pizza many times before and it has never been this bad. We had to wait nearly 2 hours for our 4 pizzas that we ordered online. When we said we had been wating a while they offered free breadsricks and we didnt even get them. When we finally got the pizza we were presented with a rude attitude.

Great pizza, cheese bread and family style salad. All was very good. Service was outstanding, fast, personable. Fun atmosphere and a place you want to come back to.

We recently ate at Royal Pizza in Lava Hot Springs, and while I have to say the pizza was really good, the customer service completely overshadowed the meal.
From the moment we walked in, the waitress with the dark hair and blonde underneath was extremely rude. She greeted us with an unfriendly attitude, then practically threw our menus onto the table instead of handing them to us. Our pizza also took a very long time to come out.
While we were waiting, I couldn’t help but observe how the staff interacted with other customers. It wasn’t just our table—the same waitress, along with the other three waitresses working, all seemed unfriendly, were giving dirty looks, and came across as annoyed to be serving people. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere and made us feel very unwelcome throughout our visit.
Because of the poor service, we chose not to leave a tip. Tips are earned through good service, and unfortunately that wasn’t our experience.
Lava Hot Springs is a tourist destination, and businesses that rely on visitors should understand how important friendly, welcoming customer service is. A positive attitude goes a long way in making people want to return and recommend a restaurant.
The pizza itself was good, which makes this even more disappointing. If the customer service matched the quality of the food, this would be an easy place to recommend.

Food was not good. I had lasagna. It was sour like it had spoiled. The girl said that’s what it taste like. Wrong. It was nasty. I didn’t eat it but no refund on crappy food. You guys need to get it together

Always a great place to get pizza in lava!
This place is awesome! Their pizzas are sooo good! Everyone was so nice and we didn’t have to wait very long to be seated or the food. One of their servers was doing his first shift and he did great! Our server was also super funny and attentive, the whole vibe of the place was super chill and cool, if you go to the hot springs it’s definetly worth to try it!

Little over priced but it's a tourist spot so what do you expect? The drinks and food are good and staff is friendly, definitely recommend stopping by.
