I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Gino's Italian Ristorante-Bar. The wood-fired pizza had a perfect crust and fresh toppings. The cozy setting and attentive staff made it a memorable dining experience.

I am fortunate to say I got to meet gino for a short period of time but man did he make an impression. He was hard yet fair I got the privilege to cook for him for a little and it was some of the best times but once he pasted the restaurant unfortunately past with him. I will always remember this restaurant as a chef, patron and friend. Gino you are missed
It will be sad to see this place go. We have dined there frequently over the 11+ years we have live here. Another unfortunate victim of the COVID/inflation era. It will be missed!

I made reservations here for 1/20/24 for a girlfriend’s’ 60th birthday. I sent a couple of additional messages to them which went unanswered. I get to the restaurant in Meridian before 7 for my 7:15 reservation and it is dark, the door is locked and the phone is disconnected. Not a great start for my friends birthday but just as disappointed that I had this great (and likely last) night at Gino’s planned to eat at a one-of-a-kind institution but to realize that no one had contacted me about cancelling my reservation. I thought maybe everyone that was employed by the restaurant got sick or something but then tried to call and the line was disconnected so that tells me that the restaurant has officially closed a lot earlier than they had forecasted but didn’t bother to let anybody know. So very very disappointed in how this turned out.
I Was told they did take out. I was hesitant to step into a place that had mixed review. After I had asked about some of the dishes. I was told that they were closing. It’s 730pm, your hours state open until 10pm. If you don’t want to do take orders or New customer. Be transparent with them upfront. So sad, I’ll lever have a taste of Gino’s.
We enjoy eating at thus wonderful restaurant. Really sad they will be closing. We love your food & service!

It's a shame that Gino's will be closing, but its past time. This beautiful restaurant that Gino created was never the same after his departure, and it needs to be put to rest.
A couple of years ago this was a great Italian restaurant. Expecting this to still be true, I went a couple of days ago for my bday. First of all, we had to wave down an employee for drinks after waiting almost an hour. We then waited more than an hour for our food, and when they told us it was almost done, another employee came out and said they forgot what my dad ordered. When we finally got our food, nothing was good. My dad ended up not even getting his food, my boyfriends pasta was drowning in watery sauce that tasted weird, and my ravioli had absolutely no sauce on it and no flavor whatsoever. On top of all this we had to get up and go find somebody to pay for this nonsense. If you want this to be a real italian restaurant, this needs to change.

Absolutely awful. I see why they are closing.I wish I could have experienced the place in it's heyday but please do not go here in 2024.

Going out of business and staffing levels aren't enough to supply good food or service.

I called 3 times to try to get a reservation, no answer- left message, sign says open, open tables but they won't serve you without a reservation. What a waste of time.
Very very disappointed in Gino's dinner experience. Today is my birthday so we decided on Gino's for dinner. We arrived around 5pm. The service from the get go was not great. It took the server a few tries to get the drinks right and they did not even ask my husband if he wanted anything. He did not write down any of orders. He came back a few times to get the order right.Once the food finally came out. The orders were wrong. The food was short of terrible. Bland and watered down. My husband's chicken Parmigiano was rubbery and all curled up. We will not be back or recommend it to friends.
My husband and I loved Gino's Ristorante before moving out of state three years ago. We recently returned and had dinner there. We were shocked. We dined on the patio which was full of leaves and the tables were dusty. Flower pots contained dead plants. The Pinot Noir wine recommended from Oregon was horrible, the food was lukewarm and wasn't like the old Gino's when Gino was alive. It's too bad that quality disappears after the owner dies and a new owner takes over. Now they are closing their doors after 27 years. How sad that incompetent people ruin a wonderful restaurant.
Sad to hear that Gino's will close forever. Much respect to this 27 year old small business. Times are tuff prices are thru the roof Bidennomics at it's best. Support your local gems there's 2 months to change their minds hope they are packed every moment they are opened. Funny how a in and out burger gets all the hype and support and a staple in the community gets little! Gino's will remain 1 of the best in its field.
