Family style restaurant that doesn't actually have Street Tacos on the menu, but of course, they are simple enough that they will make them if you ask. It's not a specialty of theirs, but they have a LOT of potential, the only thing that was lacking was the tortillas. But let me start with the good. All the carne was plentiful and good. They only had three at the time, it might have been because it was early in the day but there was only Carnitas, Asada, and Pollo. The waitress did ask if I wanted shredded chicken or grilled, I took grilled. The chicken was good, not dry, seasoned, diced a little smaller than I usually see it but that's not good or bad. The asada wasn't crazy seasoned or juicy, but it wasn't dry and WAs definitely not just a skirt steak taco. The carnitas was really good, crispy and meaty. And as mentioned above, all of t them were packed. They only downside was the single tortilla straight from the bag. Those tortillas never touched a grill. If only they had a couple of fresh tortillas grilled hot and with a touch of oil or lard, that would have made these tacos REALLY good. Especially with that crazy hot habanero salsa. I showed for some salsa Verde and she brought it a hot (temperature) freshly made salsa, very orange, guessing tomatillos and habanero as the base. I needed very little to add some good heat.Price wise, my boss grabbed the bill (Thanks Brian!) but from what I saw they were probably about $3.50 to $4 a taco. Which I would gladly pay for those size tacos IF the tortillas matched the quality of the fillings.I would really like to see if they took a bit more time and upped their tortillas, double up and fry them, that would be a great taco. They are understaffed right now, but if it's not super busy, that isn't an issue.

Was out for Cinco de Mayo festivities looking for food. Had seen this place offered molcajete. Ordered it up! Missed the cactus...not too bad. More salty than expected. The margarita mix was just a mix. Server didn't know. It's a nice festive place. They were short handed with only one cook and a volunteer server.Kid-friendliness: Colorful

We dined on Cinco de Mayo. Unfortunately they are extremely short staffed. The two young women serving were very friendly, but overwhelmed. Yet they did check in frequently and were very apologetic. We orders a molcajete. They ran out of nopales so we ended up with chicken beef and pork. The food was cooked well and tasty. A bit to salty for our preferences. The portion size was very generous

Save yourself the trouble and walk across the way to La Cabanita. This place has probably the worst Mexican food I've ever eaten. I'd rather have Taco Bell, and that I thought was the worst.

This I a small Mexican restaurant in a strip mall in Meridian. It sits behind another Mexican restaurant, BUT, this is so much better. The service is great but the food is outstanding. If you have not tried this place you should. It might become your go-to Mexican restaurant in town.

Food is great, servers are terrible. We kept going because the food was good for Mexican food. However this last time chicken bones were in my quesadilla, & in my kids chimichangas. We will not be returning.

Good, solid Mexican food. Ceviche is delicious, carnitas burrito is AMAZING - packed full of meat, super flavorful. Chips, salsa and beans are good; salsa has a nice little kick to it, but not too much. Nice laid back atmosphere. Would highly recommend, especially for recent California refugees looking for a solid Mexican food place.

Come on Treasure Valley I am thoroughly convinced there really are no great options when it comes to Mexican food. The best place we have found is Pueblo Lindo in Meridian. We were a little excited because this place is closer to our house and some of the reviews were pretty good. So off we went last night to give this place a try and what a disappointment. First the place was totally dead and should've been the 1st indicator. A nice young lady came over and took our drink order and brought out water, chips and salsa. Now as in my past reviews I always judge a Mexican restaurant 1st by its chips and salsa. The salsa was pretty good a little overpowering with onions, but was pretty tasty, however the chips were straight out of bag and didn't taste very fresh. After several minutes of waiting for our margaritas this is where the 1st disappointment came. While being very good sized this was straight out of a pre-mixed jug. Personally not my kind of thing....way to sweet for my taste. The 2nd was my wife's food. She ordered the 2 enchiladas plate and what came out looked horrible. Absolutely no pride in the presentation. Then while my chicken fajitas were hot they lacked a little flavor but weren't that bad, but was another disappointment was the beans and rice. Again just bland and the beans didn't even taste good to me at all. Not sure how you mess these things up but Congrats you did! This was a once and done place for me....but here is the big takeaway when the margarita out of a jug is the best part thats a problem.
