They bill themselves as a sports bar and family restaurant, however I regard them more of a sports bar than a family restaurant. The menu leans more towards the sports bar, however they do offer burgers and other items. My wife had the taco salad and said it was delicious and the portion size more than she eat. I had the French Dip with fries and it was awesome. The prime rib was shaved thin and served on a toated bun. My meal was served HOT and with a smile.
An honest food review... we tried a few things because it was our first time. The Jammin Habanero burger is good. However, the delicious jam and sauce only works if the burger is big enough to complement itself. It was a 1/4 lb burger at best with so much sauce flavor that you can't taste the burger at all. The quesabirra taco was soggy with oil but not fried at all lacking cheese but good meat, and the consomme broth was very good. The fries are 1/4inch light batter fry...
The food is excellent & the historic building is cool. Lots of negatives here otherwise. The only wine is preserved n a little plastic cup like you get at concerts. Gross. No excuse for not serving a decent wine with all these independent wineries around to support. They wheel around carts with tubs to bus tables. Tacky. Our server was lovely, but we had to ask for every little thing. The “highlighted” brisket sandwich on the menu is no longer available. What? Then take...
