Fantastic service! First time eating a pokè bowl so I came in with an open mind, a sweet young lady helped me and offered a whole run down of the menu!!! Customer service gets a 5 star for me. I ordered the california invasion being I love a california roll. This bowl was made to perfection!!! By the end of the line it looks like a piece of art. I got a bite with a little of everything, and man let me tell you… it’s FANTASTIC. I will be coming back and I 100% recommend coming to this spot!

I cannot believe anyone with any standards would send this out the door. 1st of all I only got 2 of my 3 Spam musubi. The Spam was so thin you should be able to see through it. Except it was creamated. The rice was so old and crusty it was shiny and why was it blue? My advice stay away from the Spam musubi cause that rice will kill you quicker than a 3 day old old popeyes biscuit. Shameful.

i love poke so much i was happy to find a poke bowl place close to home, i've been in a handful of times and every time the staff seem annoyed to have me walk through the door unfortunately it makes it so i come in less than i would like.

I had a terrible experience at Paddles Up Poke in Nampa and will not be returning. There were red flags from the moment I walked in. The bathroom was absolutely filthy — there was visible fecal matter in the toilet even after it had been flushed, and the entire area looked neglected and unsanitary.
When I went to order my bowl, the person preparing it seemed rushed and careless. A large amount of seaweed spilled off my bowl, and instead of replacing it properly, they grabbed it with gloved hands and threw it back on top. Even with gloves, that’s completely unsanitary — food that’s touched the counter or another surface should never go back into a customer’s meal.
The food itself was just as bad. The cucumbers tasted old, and the rice was mushy and clumped together like porridge. Nothing tasted fresh at all. I could only eat about 10% of my bowl before throwing the rest away — that alone says how poor the quality was.
I’ve never written a Google review before, but this experience was so bad that it forced me to write my first-ever review. Overall, this place was dirty, careless, and served low-quality food. I do not recommend this location to anyone.
Update 1: The owner, Dan, personally called me after seeing my review. He was extremely kind and apologetic, and he took full responsibility for what happened. He refunded my meal and even offered several complimentary bowls as an apology, which I truly appreciate.
Update 2: I went back to the Nampa location, and the experience was much improved. The staff were attentive and careful with preparing the food, and the bowl I got was fresh — the rice was no longer mushy, and the ingredients tasted good.
Final Update: I’ve now visited two more times, and the positive experience has been consistent. The food has been fresh, the rice has been properly cooked, and the staff has been attentive each visit. I can see real improvements in both quality and service. Because of this consistency, I’m raising my rating. I appreciate Dan and his team for taking feedback seriously and following through.
