“This is a small restaurant that is filled with plants and good food. The recipes are unique compared to many in the area. My favorites are Satay Chicken, Terryaki Chicken, and I don't know if they still make it but the red chicken with onions I can never remember the name of. I moved away for 15 years and it was the first place I ate at when I moved back. The food was just as good as I remembered. The prices are about the same as they were when I was living here going to school at ISU. They have good appetizers too. It is called express because the main dishes, rice, and noodles are ready to go. If you want an appetizer, you will need to wait while they make them fresh but if you are in a hurry, just get the main course and main side and you can be out in less than 10 minutes.“

“My family and I ate here for the first time last night (Jan.28, 2026). The first thing we noticed was the warm inviting atmosphere. We were greeted promptly and with smiles. The server was willing to answer any questions we had and was very knowledgeable about the place and the food. I ordered the Mandarin Chicken and the plate was stacked. The chicken was warm and crispy and the sauce was also warm and had the right amount of sweetness without being overbearing. My daughter is a super picky eater, and loved the curry fried rice. My wife had the mapo tufu, and her only issue was how soft the tufu was, but she said the server warned her it was made with extra soft tufu. The dishes range about $7-$20, which i usually avoid spending that much, but it was worth it. The plates are big and full, and the food is absolutely amazing. We are already talking about when we are going to the Mandarin house again.“

“This place is a different kind if all you can eat place. You put fresh veggies, noodles, meat and sauces in a bowl and then they cook that up fresh for you. They have 4 different oils, and then about 10 sauces to combine however you want for your dish. There is also a salad bar. It's just a fun way to spend time with your family, making creative food.“

“I came in about 45 mins before they were closing and they were slammed. All the staff had boxes in their hands and were very busy. A girl was sweeping the dining room and she kindly greeted me as soon as I opened the door. Then she set her broom down and ran up to the line and helped me decide what to order. Her name is ANN. She was amazing and didn't rush me despite how busy it was. The food is always good but this review is really for ANN! 5☆☆☆☆☆ for ANN and her help!!“
