“The food was great, the waitress we had was amazing, and the wait wasn't terribly long at all considering that they are short staffed. We went out for our first date night in five years, decided to try the Shady Nook for the first time and the waitress went out of her way to provide us with an intimate atmosphere. The only thing that damped our experience was another customer, which was in no way the restaurant's fault. All in all, I give Shady Nook 5 stars because they were amazing. Will definitely be back.”

“We stopped in Wally's for breakfast on Sunday the 14th (2025) after the Salmon Select Show. Our server and floor staff were fantastic (the lady with the tattoos)!! The food was really good, once it finally arrived. The time it took to get our food was very, very slow - a little over an hour. And there were only a couple of tables of two and three people in front of us. As we sat the place filled up with people, but nothing was coming out of the kitchen. Here's my question for Wally's. If you know there is going to be a large crowd after an event like Salmon Select, why don't you prepare for the expected patrons? I realize this is a small cafe, but maybe you should look at being a little better prepared. It's not like the Salmon Select show is something new...”
