“Just had a pint and a game of pool in the pub. Plenty of patrons and a great vibe, you could tell it was rich with history - her grandad opened it in the 60s! Didn’t catch the owner’s name unfortunately but she was super friendly and hospitable.

We played pool for 50c and the Budweiser was cheap, will be recommending to any mates who are close by. Pity we were just passing through.”

However, our waiter tonight was short, and didn't help us much when we asked about the kids menu. my med rare prime rib was raw and I asked for a box to cook at home when he didnt ask if I wanted it taken back. leaving we thanked him and was ignored. NOT IMPRESSED with our male waiter. The cook was amazing with my guests food so I'm sure it was a accident on mine. we go out for service with a great attitude not a crappy one. remind your servers please!”

“This is the most classic small town diner. Perfect breakfast after staying at the Airbnb platform tents out back. It was Down to 17 degrees last night but they were warm and just a walk away from this diner. Made for the perfect stop along the road.”

“We stopped in Wally's for breakfast on Sunday the 14th (2025) after the Salmon Select Show. Our server and floor staff were fantastic (the lady with the tattoos)!! The food was really good, once it finally arrived. The time it took to get our food was very, very slow - a little over an hour. And there were only a couple of tables of two and three people in front of us. As we sat the place filled up with people, but nothing was coming out of the kitchen. Here's my question for Wally's. If you know there is going to be a large crowd after an event like Salmon Select, why don't you prepare for the expected patrons? I realize this is a small cafe, but maybe you should look at being a little better prepared. It's not like the Salmon Select show is something new...”
