“We were in Salmon this weekend and on our way home I called for a pick up half cheese and pepperoni with a ranch. So good! the pizza is a little greasy but we love that and the crust was really good too. We will definitely stop in again.”
“The Night Owl (formerly the Owl Club) is an absolute gem of a find, a testament to timeless elegance and exceptional craftsmanship. The centerpiece, a beautifully custom-built wooden bar, is a true work of art, an ode to an era when attention to detail was paramount. But it's not just the 1930's bar that captivates; the vintage tin ceiling panels above add an extra layer of charm and history. And then there's Dylan, the owner, who embodies the essence of The Night Owl. Charming and charismatic, as a mixologist he's a magician/chef; conjuring cocktail creations expertly crafted - and I sampled more than one :)After a day in nature or time on the road, if you're looking for a sanctuary of relaxation, the Night Owl is your destination.”
“We had a great dinner here after 12 hours on the road. It was 8:30 pm and I was very worried we wouldn’t find anything open that late for dinner. Thankfully the Junkyard Bistro is open until 10 at the time of this review. We were greeted as soon as we walked in by two friendly faces. These faces offered us drinks right away and handed us menus. I ordered the Mac ‘n cheese with buffalo chicken. This came with some baguette slices and an amazing little Caesar salad. Tons of Parmesan, with plenty of dressing. The dressing had a little bit of a zing to it, which was an unexpected, but pleasant surprise. The Mac was great. The chicken was roasted and then shredded into the pasta. Very moist and tender. My husband had the cheese burger. It was great. Juicy. But the potato salad was incredible! Definitely not out of a tub. We travel this route a lot and this will be a regular stop for us. Thank to the staff for being so amazing a for being open!”
“Porterhouse Porkchop is topped with a rich mushroom sauce. A generous but reasonable portion for a $20 entree. The salads have cruton "chips" are awesome.Favorite spot for a fancier date night”
“This was one of my mother’s favorite restaurants. And mine (and my daughter’s) when we’re in town visiting my father. We get mom’s favorite meal of biscuits and gravy at least once every visit. Nostalgic for us, certainly. But the biscuits and gravy are very good so it’s an especially delicious way to relive some memories. Everything else I’ve gotten from Rise & Shine has been good, too, but the biscuits and gravy are special.”
“Was in Salmon for the weekend, we ate here and it was delicious!! I can’t stop thinking about that Chester fried chicken! Superb! The pizza was one of the best I have had in a very long time. Can’t wait to visit again!”
“I had a cheeseburger and tater tots and large shake. The staff were very polite and friendly. Something about home made burgers that taste delicious makes me wanna write a review ya know! I'd come back again on my next visit up here.?”
“Small mom n' pop diner in downtown Salmon. Food was served fresh and hot. The serving size was substantial. Staff was friendly and attentive. Pricing is average to most places. There's no parking but on the streets, so prepare accordingly. My only complaint is the seating. It had seen its fair share of use over the decades and made me feel like it was sinking down to the floor.”
“Came to Salmon for a weekend adventure and everyone we ran into told us The Pork Peddler was the best brunch in town. So of course we tried it. Oh man! The crew was friendly and gave us the best recommendation. We got the breakfast Quesadilla and the chilaquiles. Oh my gosh best breakfast ever! 10/10 will definitely go there again!”
“Excellent dining experience in Salmon, Idaho. After a recent ownership change, the new owner installed new lighting, much needed new kitchen equipment and is repairing the parking lot, previously legendary for its terrible condition. The food is great, and is served very quickly. Prices are up a bit recently (like everywhere else these days), but are still quite reasonable. The menu is varied, and the food is delicious. A baker has recently been added, so fresh baked goods will soon be available.I'm especially impressed with the wait staff and cooks. Waitress Kathy is a favorite among the regulars and new customers alike, and she somehow tolerates us early morning curmudgeons with a smile and friendly banter. She does seem to be the glue holding things together, and is rarely seen enjoying an idle moment.I spoke with the new owner briefly shortly after he bought the place. He wants it to be known that he is here for the long haul, and has big plans for improvements. Since he has already done much to improve Buddy's, he can certainly be taken at his word.”
“Wednesdays is prime rib night. Great steak, this is the second time at this establishment and the service was great, food came quickly for a steak, and portions are huge. Will definitely stop next time we come through .”
“We only had ice cream, but I'm told that the food is great. Soft serve ice cream, frozen yogurts, and a great Mexican menu. I'll go back to try the food. The help was wonderful!”
“We always get the best service at this Burger King. The food is always hot when we get it. The people are very nice and friendly. They make sure you are happy with your order.”
“Stopped here along the way to Hailey Idaho from Salmon. We both ordered burgers and they tasted great. Fries on the other hand were not so good so I would suggest tots or waffle fries. The atmosphere was great and filled with local ranchers. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Water seems to come from well very close to river so it tasted and smelled like the river. Great prices on food and overall a good place to stop. Portions of everything were large and the house salads looked amazing. Beef is locally sourced and tasted amazing.”
