Love the Duchin! Ian is our favorite Bartender in the valley
It is lovely to sit outdoors at Gretchens with the beautiful flowers and be able to watch the professional ice skaters practice. Ambiance is 10 of 10. There is a good variety of food choices that are all delicious. Prices are what you would expect at a resort. Service was excellent.
Gretchen's is located inside the Sun Valley Lodge, with indoor and outdoor seating. Food quality is very good. Prices are typical Sun Valley: elevated, but getting staff and raw materials to this location is not easy. The outdoor terrace that overlooks the ice rink was booked to a private party and we sat inside. Duchin Lounge offers a wonderful dining experience with top-quality food and excellent service. Guests can enjoy a meal on the patio overlooking the ice rink or relax in the lovely ambiance with soft music and historic decor. Popular dishes include Sea Bass, Salmon, and the excellent Green bean appetizer. The menu features a lunch option available all day, and food and wine selection are praised as excellent. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a meal. Finish the night with drinks in the lounge for a perfect evening. While some dishes may be hit or miss, the vibe and service remain standout features of the restaurant.
