Sit down area inside was very busy. It’s a small burger joint. So, it seemed understaffed. Lots of seated patrons plus the takeaway had the cook busy.

For the second time our family drove 90 minutes to eat here only to find a sign taped to the door stating they were closed on Sundays. If only there was a simple way to convey hours and days of operation to potential customers.

We were turned away at 7:25 PM last night when the owner said they were closed. They weren’t closed, they were busy. The doors were open. We were well within the hours of operation. We did see several tables without food and I know from going many times before that they have slow service but it’s silly worth the wait. They were closed Sun-Wed already and we were hungry and had just gotten off the river and had been looking forward to going to the Brakeman all week. I want to be sympathetic—they’ve always struggled to give fast service and handle their volume but to be coldly turned away at 7:25 with no explanation or apology was really disappointing. It seems people like to go there. They have one of the few restaurants in Victor that is able to stay in business to the point where they’re turning people away during business hours. It would be nice to at least be treated well rather than so poorly if they’re overly stressed out. Still disappointed & still hungry, questioning if I’ll ever go back with treatment like that.

I looked at other reviews of this place, and I questioned if I really wanted to go there. People talked about excessively long wait time, dry burgers, etc. They don't know what they're saying. Immediately, the servers greeted me, and said I could sit anywhere. I took a seat, got my drink, and ordered. I got the reuben burger. It was absolutely fantastic. I got it in reasonable time too. It was a treat that seems to get a bad rap, but it was a great experience. I even got a mint for free after dinner. Very happy, would reccomend.
