born and raised in chicago which obv has some of the best chinese food. that being said, when i tried this place yesterday i was blown away actually lol. the chicken pad thai was some of the best i’ve ever had. such a good portion and sooo fresh. the crab rangoon was also amazing! had the perfect amount of filling and wasn’t overly breaded/crispy. i will deff be coming here more often since i’m living near by and am super impressed with the quality! ❤️

China Dragon is a decent takeout spot in Algonquin. They have a few tables for dining in, but it's definitely more of a casual, grab-and-go kind of place. The lunch specials are a good deal, and the portions are pretty generous. The food is solid – nothing too fancy, but it hits the spot when you're craving some classic American-style Chinese. It's not the most amazing Chinese food I've ever had, but it's reliable and gets the job done for a quick and filling meal.

Almost $7 for crab Rangoon and they don’t want to provide any sauce. Also ordered spring rolls and egg rolls and asked for dipping sauce twice. They said they put it in the bag and saw that they did indeed provide an ounce container of sauce. Gourmet House is down the street and not as stingy and has better food.
The lunch menu offers a decent value. Had lunch here 2 times. The mongolian beef was average. The fried rice needs work. The orange chicken had some tender meat and overcooked meat. The ? a little yellow and old. Again, the fried rice needs work. The egg drop soup could use some extra flavor. The egg roll a little cold both times. The plastic ware is the cheapest you can get and did not see a knife to cut the food. It's not the worst Chinese but a far way to the best.

09/2024 update, was having a rushed day so i online ordered....so distracted that i ordered it wrong!! By the time I realized my husband was already on hisway to get it. I called and said have you already made it? They said yes, why did i ask. So i explained what happened, but told them i wasn't upset as i like what i accidentally ordered! They said "ok". You guessed it, it was remade by the time my husband got there. How nice is that??? Everything is amazing . First off they are so excellent with the covid situation. We got the egg foo young there because because our no longer favorite restaurant was closed. Thank heavens they did. I have NEVER had such a light and delicious egg food young in my entire life. It's do good you're afraid to try anything else!Then I find out they have curry?? Holy crap. Fresh veggies and the mushrooms, the chicken incredibly moist and delicious. My son had the kimchi, husband the sweet and sour chicken. We got the dinner specials, which, of course was a huge amount of food...egg rolls perfect, egg drop soup amazing, the chicken fried rice so yummy ?. All of it under $30. Great food great service.
