I love this place. I hope it’s here forever. Churros are amazing and fresh. Coffee drinks are delicious. It’s my favorite dessert go to spot. I decided to try their Churro board for the holidays and as usual they did not disappoint! Obsessed. Could not recommend enough.
Love comming here and getting a little treat while I get work done. Best churros and coco around, great coffee as well 💕 they have lots of space/seating and boardgames for all ages.

Churros is good but the Dulce de Leche filling is not real dulce leche made with condensed milk (or milk and sugar) like it was years ago. It’s a cheap caramel whatever filling that taste nothing like tudo e de leche.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Churros y Chocolate — their churros are consistently delicious, and their chocolate is rich and satisfying. It’s a perfect spot for a sweet treat, and the ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a local favorite.
That said, I’m deeply saddened and disappointed to have to write this review. As much as I’ve loved the food here, I’ve recently learned that Churros y Chocolate partners with Brown Dog Media, a company whos owner has publicly expressed support for racist views and discriminatory rhetoric. Joe has also openly supported ICE and their actions against immigrant communities, which is in direct contradiction to the values of inclusivity and respect for all people. It’s heartbreaking to see a business that celebrates a culture I deeply respect, indirectly support someone whose actions are harmful to that very community.
As much as I’ve enjoyed the churros and chocolate over the years, I can no longer support a business that chooses to align itself with a media company like Brown Dog Media. I hope Churros y Chocolate will reconsider its association with them in the future.

Seeing the restaurant from the street, you will not expect what you are about to experience upon entering. It's a bright, open, well-appointed, beautiful space, with vintage wood floors, and a massive mural of Frida Kahlo that occupies the entire wall. These downtown vintage buildings have high ceiling heights, further emphasizing the eye-catching mural.
Not only is it a beautiful and inviting space with the aroma of coffee and sweets lingering in the air, but you are also invited to watch the churro-making process with the kitchen open for viewing by patrons (separated by glass).
We shared a regular churro and a fruity churro split. Delicious! And the staff and owner are friendly and graciously take time to answer menu questions.
Nestled in between two other incredible restaurants, Kubo Sushi and Sake Lounge, and El Patio, this is a nice compliment to restaurant row in downtown Elgin.

Tried the churro sandwich, and the coffee con leche which was awesome. The cafe is very clean, and spacious. You can even see the churros being baked in back they have a glassed in kitchen. This place is cool
