Food good as always. Service stinks. Went through drive thru. No straw or napkins. Went around again but in the second lane, just needed to get what they forgot. Caught the girls attention asked for what was forgotten. As she handed it to me I was told “Next time you need to wait in line again because this lane is closed!” Mind you this was the lunch rush and lines were long! Excuse me? I have to wait in line again for what SHOULD have been given to me in the first place??? Yes! I don’t pack the bags. And walks away.

Always a family favorite. Food is consistently good. 1 off for service only because it's self-service ordering and they forgot 2 items. Luckily, we dined in and were able to grab the missed items, but had it been a pickup order, I wouldn't have known til I got home. Plenty of seating, even on a busy Saturday. Tables, drink stations, and condiment area we're clean and stocked.

This location for some reason is not up to the standards you get from any other Portillos. Not the first time I have had a problem here. the other day I got a root beer with my hot dog and it was almost all soda and no flavored syrup. I reported it to the manager and he just says sorry. I had to ask him for my money back. They really don’t seem to care. I will not be back

Two times now I have goine to this new Portillo’s for desert, one Chocolate Cake and one Strawberry Shortcake. The chocolate cake was either old of burnt because the cake was stuck to the sides of container and dry, didn’t even finish it. Today I had the Strawberry Shortcake. There was hardly any strawberries and the cake couldn’t even be cut with a spoon. Again, couldn’t finish because it was gross. This is the worse Portillo’s I have ever been to. I’ve also eaten there thee times since they opened for food. The wait for food is rediculous and food does not match up quality to other Portillo’s! And I’ve been to many for many years. Disappointing, will not order from there again.
Same great food. Nice new building. Very slow service and order people you can not here. Use the kiosks if you can.

Super disappointing. Long time customer Portillos. This location, however, is terrible. I was so excited to have one closer to home and work. I will have to continue going to Crystal Lake. Everytime I have come to this location I have been met with terribly slow service, mistakes on the orders, overflowing trash cans, dirty tables and floors. The staff appears to always be teens that have no interest in serving well. There's no haste. There's no apology for mistakes on orders and no urgency to correct mistakes. They are also often sold out on their desserts. Are there any adults managing appropriate expectations here? Crystal Lake runs like a well oiled machine, always fast, correct, friendly and clean. Step up Algonquin.

Honestly the worst Portillo in the area. So much dysfunction.. there were more employees than customers, and not a single person cared at all.
Employees running through the parking lot with Stanley mugs in between cars to go talk to friends.
Drive thru attendant chatting with his buddy held the entire line for 5 minutes alone, then took another 20 after that to get the food. Portillos is never fast but this was rediculous.
Then they gave us the wrong order. When they gave us the right order they forgot straws, went in to see the whole staff minus your custodian (the only one working) all chatting it up.
Get your employees on track like every other Portillos.
