“You have to get in sooooo fast to get any bread, and as a non morning person, this rarely happens for me, but their bread is so delicious if you can score a loaf! I also love their salad. I've tried to get their sandwiches but they're always out of everything I want to order so I haven't had a chance to try it yet. It is very very loud and busy in there, so I usually do takeout if I order anything.“

“Please go here! Not only are the cupcakes delicious, but the staff was so kind. Our group was walking back to our car when the tornado sirens started going off and the green suddenly turn nasty green. It was terrifying. We dashed into their storefront. The staff was calm and went out of their way to make sure everyone was safe.“

“Love the food, owner and everything. It is a great place and would highly recommend. However, I would recommend against using the online order feature. Everytime I travel I come here, however my last visit I tried to order one more time before leaving. My flight was earlier than expected I attempted to cancel well before my meal was even made and I was charged the full amount. I tried to contact through email and Instagram and no response. Maybe this was just a one off in terms of customer service. I still love the place but was disappointed after a month no one contacted me back nor gave a refund.“

“We love El Chico so much! We asked them if they would provide cookies for our wedding (after a different dessert vendor stopped responding to us), and we are honestly so happy we ended up with them! El Chico was so easy to work with, so kind, and so helpful. We already knew their baked goods were delicious (we always stop for some cookies at the Tower Grove Farmer's Market), but our guests raved about the empanadas. I couldn't recommend them enough - whether it's an order for an event or just stopping in and grabbing some treats while you're on Cherokee! (photo is by Rachel Myers Photography)“

“This was the best cheesecake I have had in over 6 years. The flavors were balanced. I got an peach cobbler cheesecake. It was overly sweet, it was rich with a nice balance of spices. That is hard to do with flavored cheesecakes. Usually the added flavor is too dominant or the cheesecake is sort of sour. They have a loyal customer here. Great job.“

“I called many different companies searching for a very specific cookie, no one could make it. Then I called Sweet Treats from the hart and i described it to her and she made it happen in less than 24 hours! They were more than I had hoped for! I couldn’t recommend this company more! 5 stars, 10/10! We WILL be back.

“As someone who typically enjoys a simple coffee or latte, I tried out the seasonal sweet potato latte. What a brilliant choice it was. Full of flavor and wonderfully spiced, I could drink this every day. The barista was an absolute gem as well. I’m always on the hunt for a great coffee shop, and this has definitely made the list.“

“While I can say that it's vastly superior to the other truck stops that I have encountered in Missouri and offers far more services amenities and hospitality to professional drivers and regular automobile driver's alike, it is still a truck stop with inflated prices and all of the strange brands the normal motorists do not encounter in day-to-day life.The showers here were clean serviceable and enjoyable. There is a television room and a small area for people to eat. There is also a small casino area. There is a small criminal element at this particular establishment. But that is to be expected and compared to some of the other elements I've encountered while in Missouri it is welcome in it's sparity.All together I can say that this truck stop is where you would want to go were you transiting from Missouri to Illinois on a normal commute.An excellent establishment.“
