“Got together with friends today to celebrate a birthday, but the birthday girl is deathly allergic to eggs. I called Sweet Treats and she patiently suggested some things we could get. Wow! Everything was absolutely delicious. The birthday girl pigged out and said she has never found anything this good she can eat. Great customer service and great treats. Omg those creme horns! Everyone at the party said they will be going there from now on, even though some of them live a couple of towns over. Yum!“
“Russell’s on Macklin is such a staple. It has a cozy and relaxed ambiance with a fireplace offering locally sourced American cuisine.Located in the Southampton neighborhood of St. Louis, it’s a family-run restaurant that prides itself on warm hospitality and mouthwatering dishes reminiscent of home-cooked meals. From their homestyle cooking to freshly baked goods, Russell’s on Macklin caters to both the brunch & dinner crowds. The menu features elevated versions of classic American favorites, highlighting the best seasonal ingredients available.I had the broccolini salad and lump crab cake. Both were delicious. I also shared in the cheeseboard.Don't forget to indulge in their tempting gooey butter cake.“
“I am ashamed to admit from the get-go...our food looked so good when it arrived at our table we dug in before taking any pics! Ugh. Once I thought about it I had done enough damage to my salad and plate it wouldn't have been very appetizing. I will say this though...Valentine's Day, sneaking out for lunch with your sweetie, 65 and sunny, AND Union Loafers tees you up for a great day! Happy Valentine's to all and thanks to Union Loafers to making our day even more special. Ambiance is always fun, loud place. We each ordered a chenin blanc, the little gem salad with beets (my favorite salad in STL!). My wife ordered the Turkey Swiss and I had the Bistro Beef. Everything was just outstanding. Of course a loaf of semolina to go. Service was great as always, place was packed. Love, love, love Union Loafers!“
“This place is so cute. Walls covered in books you can buy, nice drinks, and a ton of vegan baked goods (not all, but they are clearly labelled!). My partner and I had a blast drinking wine and playing games, and the scones are amazing. They also have various gifts for sale - mugs, candles, cards, etc. They even have a flavor of vegan ice cream! New favorite for sure!“
“My wife and I stopped by this morning before a four hour drive home for breakfast. I had the smoked pork chop with eggs and a biscuit, my wife a vegetable omelet. Both were fantastic, the portions were large and the prices very reasonable. The service was great. Highly recommend.“
“We ordered chocolate arch candy for our daughter’s wedding. She was doing a St. Louis theme for the wedding. They were a big hit with our guests. We also ordered cookies for our hotel guests gift bags. Also a big hit. The staff was great to work with. Highly recommend Dad’s cookies!“
“I absolutely adore this spot! I got the iced oat latte with hazelnut and a half focaccia sandwich. Everything tastes fresh and delicious! I want to go back for the gelato. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It has a modern look to it. The baristas are also very kind and helpful! What a cool coffee spot to visit!“
“The owner was unloading the van early in the morning getting ready to open up shop. I was doing laundry next door so while standing outside smoking I was offered a free plain glazed donut. Of course I took it, it was really early and I was hungry. Before that day I had never tried their donuts and the one I had was definitely delicious and it was cold. I would have given 5 stars but I wanted to first try more of the treats.“
