“Family friendly restaurant. I had the half chicken dressing, greens. Chicken was not hot, and it was in a warmer, greens was okay, dressing was good, and everybody knows, cranberry sauce goes with dressing, the cup, was so small (1/2 teaspoon) extra one is quarter (they don't tell you when ask for it). pet peeve with restaurants stingy with condiments, food not being hot.Try it for yourself.“

“My Mama wanted Hancock candies yams greens and cornbread . I call and spoke with a gentleman and explained my needs and with no hesitation he said I have everything but greens.but I have canbage.i drove to the restaurant fast service and he actually remembered me.i notice they ha e spe gals everyday and there prices was Great!! I took my mom her food to the Westside and she absolutely Lovex everything!!! I forgot to mentioned i got her some peach cobbler and that was good too.i will definitely be coming back.Thank you so much!!“

“OMG!!! This place is the bomb, the inside of the restaurant is gorgeous, the customer service is phenomenal and the food is fantastic. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for some delicious soul food. I love the dressing, baked chicken, sweet potatoes and muffins. The portions are good, I had enough left over to take some home for a late night snack. Our hostess Ms. Lyn has outstanding service she made sure that my glass was full at all times and that I had everything that I needed. Her smile can light up a room, keep doing a great job and we will see you again very soon. If you have not been here RUUUUUUN‼️“

“I would like to rate this restaurant with 2 stars. The customer service was great. I traveled from Holland, Michigan in search of a good soul food restaurant. I won't go into detail, but I will mention some areas for improvement. The catfish was delicious. The sweet potato had a nice flavor. The Mac N Cheese was tasty. However, the potato salad could use some improvement. The greens tasted like they came from a can and had a lot of stems.“

“The food is delicious! They sell everything from tacos to jerk chicken to soulfood, which scared me because that’s all over the place but the food was so darn good!!! We had the jerk shrimp Alfredo which was phenomenal! And the fried pork chops with yams and Mac. That was delicious as well! I will say, the Mac can do without the melting cheese that they add, tastes like nacho cheese or melted can cheese but outside of that, still pretty tasty. I look forward to trying more.“

“I had such a great time at this bar! The vibe was chill, the drinks were on point, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. The music set the perfect mood, and it was a great spot to unwind and have a good time with friends. I’ll definitely be back again soon! it has a nice outside area. It’s a good neighborhood bar and they mostly have stepping music.“

“Forget the girl at Burger King...Noriah ( I hope I am saying her name correctly) at Lawrence's in CC Hills, Illinois should get the soul food employee of the year! She handled about 8-10 customers taking orders, cooking food, chopping up rib tips, slicing cake, grilling fish, boxing food...plus more! I was so impressed! She was AMAZING! I will be back for those rib tips soon! Thank you so much for your wonderful service! 😀“
