We order Panera/delivery about twice a month. There has never been anything wrong with the food, not sure how there can be one star reviews. Yesterday my wife had a fav of hers, the pick 2 white mac and cheese and a Greek salad, great as always. I tried the tuna salad sandwich and it was amazing. Why $11.79? It's HUGE (had half for dinner and half for lunch today) and high quality. This isn't fast food. I always get the French onion soup, it's the best I've had. If we have breakfast, we always get the cinnamon crunch bagels with the walnut cream cheese tub. Yum!

I come here often because I have a sip club membership. The cost efficiency on that has been awesome and it's quick and easy to grab what I'm getting each day. The employees are always friendly and the inside is always clean.

I swore I wouldn't return to Panera, but I received a gift card. I thought that maybe, just maybe, it wouldn't taste like microwaved hospital food at 20 bucks a person? Nope...First- the grilled cheese. It was cheese placed on white bread and then microwaved. No grill marks. WHAT?! (This microwaved cheese bread was about $8. I think most people know grilled cheese is not just bread and cheese placed in a microwave.)The bagel was burned on 90% ot its surface. I received the incorrect soup and half was spilled in my bag and it seeped into the baguette. Which would be fine, but I abhor tomato soup.Oh, Panera! Why do I always come back and you always disappoint? For future customers, please know that grilled cheese is actually grilled and toasted bagels are toasted and not charred.

A good restaurant. Generally well done food. You can't go wrong with a bacon turkey bravo. The soups are good. Flatbreads. It's all really good. The sip club is awesome.

When people think of restaurants they would describe their favorite, like with quality food and drinks, feeds your cravings, reliable service, and more. Panera Bread is my favorite restaurant for these reasons and even more. Panera Bread is an Italian restaurant located in Alton, IL. It serves breakfast from 6:00-10:30, and lunch from 10:30-9:00 pm. They focus on Italian food which specializes in pizza, subs, pasta, more. The reason I tried Panera Bread in the beginning was because my mom loves their coffee and requested that I try it. It took a long time for me to allow her to take me there. After living in Calhoun since I was 3, restaurants started to get tiring so we decided to try new ones around Jerseyville & Alton. I am qualified to write a review because I try different restaurants every Friday. This is how I ended up trying out Panera Bread in Alton, IL.As you can see I have many reasons. I would like to recommend Panera Bread for your next restaurant you try out. The first reason I would recommend Panera is because of their unique salads and subs. I have tried almost everything on their menu, but my over favorite is their southwest salad. The southwest salad is a salad dressed in a really good southwest dressing, with corn chips, and more. The second reason I recommend this restaurant is their seating. They have many options, they have booths, tables, and other little couches with tables to sit on. The restaurant is new, and smells really good. These are the main reasons why I would recommend Panera Bread Co.In conclusion, I will now discuss who I recommend this restaurant to. I would recommend Panera Bread to people who like pasta, subs, salads, and more italian food. I would also recommend this restaurant to someone who loves to sit in booths. I would recommend Panera to this type of person because they have a lot of Italian food, and many seating options. So, find a few friends, set a date, and go eat at Panera Bread Co. In Alton, IL.

5 stars to Michelle. She came to us when my husband accidentally ordered the wrong salad and offered to make the correct one. She didnt have to do this and was super friendly and welcoming. She deserves a shout out. Thank you!

I am so glad this Panera location is still referred to as a, St. Louis Bread. I know it's just a name, but Bread Co rolls off the tongue so much easier then, Panera. This use to be my morning stop when I was working. Now that I am retired, I don't get here as often, but they still remember my name when I enter the restaurant and that is good customer service. It makes me feel like, Norm on Cheers.Of course, I enjoy their bagels. The Everything is my favorite. Pastry wise, I am totally in love with the, Orange Scone. OMG, it is so good. If you want a delicious cookie, I'd tell you to try the, Kitchen Sink. The calories are high, but the flavor will satisfy your sweet tooth. When you're lazy and don't want to make dinner, the salads or a pick-two here will make your life easier. If the Strawberry Poppyseed Salad with Chicken is in season, it is a must order. The Southwest Caesar Salad with Chicken is another winner. The Pick Two, you create your own dual of deliciousness, so you can't go wrong. This St Louis Bread is a winner so when you are in Alton, be sure to check it out.
