Cool building and fun decor. I appreciated the unique NA drink options. The soup salad and Rueben were just ok.

Was hoping for better from Old Bakery Beer (OBB) but was sorely disappointed.
Service was just plain bad. It took forever to get drinks and food. Staff were just dropping the ball. There wasn’t even that many customers when I was there.
Food was not great either. If you want a burger with fries, you might as well have just gone to Fast Eddie’s where it’s like half the price and the burgers are bigger. OBB’s pretzels were just your standard overpriced frozen and then microwaved garbage. Also got an order of their beet salad and it was just plain awful. Seemingly no dressing, hardly any beets, and the vegan cheese was the worst. Embarrassing that this salad is served like it is. Honestly, from my experience OBB needs to rework their menu.
Had a couple IPAs from the beer list and they were average quality, not much else to say about them.
They have card and board games available to play at your table, which I always think is a nice touch.
Overall, I don’t see myself coming back to OBB.

First time here. So glad we stopped. It was Fish Fryday! The fries were crispy, the hush puppies were crunchy and sweet and the fish.... THE FISH WAS AMAZING! The batter was crispy and didn't taste burnt (huge deal to me) and the fish was fully cooked and still moist and flaky.
Here's your warning: We'll be back!

A fun place to visit in Alton with a wide selection of interesting beers. Avoid the lavender sparkling tea. Food: The Reuben and Cheesesteak were good. The chicken sandwich was decent quality and spicy but not very crispy. They need to up their burger game. The patties looked preformed (previously frozen?) and overdone. Fresh beef is easy and would make a big difference.
Kid-friendliness: Spacious, lots of board games to play.
Wheelchair accessibility: Nice ramp in front. One level. Nice ADA bathrooms.

Such a fun place! Today they had vendors with Halloween items for sale. We then ordered food and beer. The food was wonderful, as well as the beer. Loved the tiramisu beer!

Great micro brewery in the heart of downtown Alton. Lots of rotating taps to choose from. They also have a decent food menu if you get the munchies. We did a couple flights of 4 so we could try many of the beers.

The food was so delicious and I really appreciate that there are multiple vegan and vegetarian options instead of only one or two like you find elsewhere. The flavors they explore are so amazing and unlike anything I've ever seen

Visited for lunch on a day trip to St. Louis.
Pleased by the vegetarian and vegan options, I ended up ordering the sassy. It was very good

Our team decided to start here because of the organic and vegan options for me. Overall the place is great! They need to do something with the entrance to pull one towards the actual bar/restaurant. I was initially confused when I walked through the door and then just blindly walked and got lucky.
The beer selections were decent and the local spirit selections were a bit confusing, but we figured it out . My team enjoyed their meals, even if they were basic. Service was great, and the atmosphere was also pretty awesome once you got to the business end of Bakery.
I will have no problem recommending this place. It seems like they try to be family oriented, but then we are heavy haul drivers so not many kids are with us. but at the end of the day, I highly recommend supporting local businesses even if I am 1000 miles away from home!
Alton Illinois has won my heart for one night!

This pub/brewery is housed in a historic bakery building overlooking the Mississippi River. The beer is great! The food is excellent. Must go to location when you visit Alton.
Food was good, many wine choices.
Kid-friendliness: They have no highchairs or booster seats.
