My husband and I drive through the Chicago area 3 or 4 times per year. We have dinner at Peggy Kinnanes every time. The most delicious corned beef and cabbage meal ever! It's very large so we order it and also order the chicken salad platter and share. The beef is so lean and the vegetables so perfect. Service is also very good. And the restaurant is beautiful. Love this place!!
One of our meals was messed up and they brought it back. Took 15 mins to come back and we had to eat separately. No attempt to reduce anything or provide a discount.
Peggy Kinnanes is always so yummy and the vibes are great! We always love going for a yummy dinner and a drink!
We have a small group that have dinner before Metropolis theater. Tried something different, the chicken salad is great!!! Vender was selling soda bread for a fundraiser for the Irish dancers..wonderfull! Our servers were great.....had a wonderful time. Thursday is free concert day in the summer so it was a bit loud sitting outide but had a great time
Disappointing experience. Was seated outside at 6:00pm....by 6:20pm no server had greeted us so I walked to the counter. Hostess says "Oh, I'll get someone: Five minutes later, Colin shows up. Says he didn't know we were there! UGH! So we ordered right away. Salads were good but when we were done, we sat another 20 minutes to get our server back for the check...He laid it down and took off for another 10 minutes. When we asked what took so long he explained he's waiting on tables inside the restaurant as well! So needless to say, our beautiful outdoor dinner was dismal because of poor service.
Service was outstanding, we all loved our food, and the Irish coffee we got for dessert was the best I've ever had.
Always love going to Peggy Kinnanes's The staff is great and I love the ambiance. We go to Ireland quite a bit and Peggy's takes me back there!!!
We enjoyed our dining experience at Peggy Kinnane's as it was close by since we were seeing a show at the Metropolis Performing Arts Center. The food was very good and a great value for the price. We ordered the Pot Roast Sliders and the Bloom's BBQ Salad along with the Molten Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream for dessert. Our server was Colin, and he seemed friendly but a little shy. Not sure if this was one of his first jobs as a server. He was attentive but did not seem that familiar with the menu or the beer selection available. We will be back as the ambiance was busy, and everyone seemed very friendly!
The manager was extremely rude. Food was okay but not amazing. Server nice but manager really turned us off.
Had a casual dinner of sandwiches (Reuben, BLT, Chicken Salad) which were tasty. The beer selection is very good. The noise level was reasonable for having a conversation with friends.

THE HOSTESS WERE VERY RUDE AND OVERALL OVERWHELMING DONT COME HERE
New residents so our first time. Exceeding our expectations. Only suggestion, automatically bring malt vinegar with fish and chips.
Fun time at trivia night. Good food and service. Drinks were a little pricey, but that's everywhere now.
Really enjoyed the Buffalo Trace bourbon tasting event. Well worth the price and very professionally done! We will come to more of these for sure!
This is obviously a busy holiday so I take that into consideration. I know that it's a communication issue in outsourcing your reservations, but it would have been great to know in advance: 1. The times of scheduled entertainment are approximate- the dancers started late and we never got to see the bagpipers 2. The menu is different for the holiday 3. There is a 90 minute limit, service will be terrible, and you will be rushed and asked to move your chair every minute because it's overcrowded.
