We dropped in for dinner on a lark - we were looking for someplace new. This place is a few blocks off of Rt 38 in Downtown Ashton. It's a bar-restaurant, and that is how it basically works in many small towns. The walls are adorned with a ton of historic photos and articles - if you haven't been here, try to sit at a table near the wall, so you can soak up some of this ambiance. This was our 3rd visit later was over a year ago and that experience was subpar. We went with our group of friends. We arrived early and set up a table for our group of 8. The waitress took our drink orders and left a bowl of popcorn on the table. The rest of our group arrived and she got drinks and took our food orders. We ordered chicken, fried cod.
