“Chuy is the best bartender AND the fish'n'chips are the best in the city of Chicago, bar none! The cod is so fresh and flavorful, the batter is deep fried to perfection, the "chips" are perfectly done, tartar sauce delicious, and the cole slaw is pretty good too! Great beer selection and wines are good. We will be back!“

“I'm not sure what happened but all the tables in the back room where we were, had to ask several times for service, drinks, silverware and food took for ever to get to us!Additional comment, the owner reached out to me and ask to come in and speak with him. Since I live over an hour away, I asked my son, who lives in the town and was with me, I asked him to speak on my behalf. The owner listened to my son and let him know he was thankful for the info. He gifted us a gift card and I am very grateful for him taking my experience to heart. Il be visiting the restaurant again because the food was great and the owner took the time to care about us.“

“Food: amazing. Drinks: amazing. Service: amazing. Ambiance: amazing. Really though. The wings are huge so you’re actually getting your money’s worth for once. Pizza is fantastic (think cheese-pull) and their selection of beers seltzers and ciders is impressive for a place this size! Our server, Shawn, was so attentive and covered all the menus for us! Even recommended adding chorizo to their poblano corn dip, which was a total game changer. 100% worth a stop in if you haven’t been yet! Sit by their fireplace!“
“This was my first time at Clancy's on 95th. It was clean and comfortable. The ladies behind the counter were delightful and easy going. A friend invited me to join her and a handful of her friends, to watch Billy Gray perform (he was fabulous with his deep voice. I listen to country music every once and awhile, but Billy had me moving my feet and tapping the table top to the music.)and we had a wonderful time. The beers were reasonably priced ($4 or $16 for a bucket of five. They give you wooden tokens to collect a cold beer when you are ready or the bucket if you prefer. My friend ordered a ham and cheese sandwich that was delicious and came with fries or in-house made potato chips. I would definitely go back.“

“Galway Arms is the best ‘local’ in Chicago! Great craft beers, great Guinness, Superb food - the Lamb Shank is 2nd to none and for brunch - the Full English Breakfast is fantastic! And the place is full of friendly regulars and the staff are the best!“
“The Corrib Irish Pub is the perfect place for a night out or just simply to grab a drink. The atmosphere is amazing and the music is great. It's an old school style pub with great service and delicious drinks. It's definitely worth a visit.“

“My first visit there. Saw promo on TV. However, I was not aware that there was a cover charge. I assume coverage for the live entertainment. I enjoyed both the Irish band music and the Trinity Children Dancers. The food was right on point! Authentic Irish corn beef/cabbage. It was a bit crowded and noisy, but that was to be expected--it was St. Patrick's Day!“
“this was the first time we ever visited the Irish American Heritage Center and it was for a baby shower. It is a pretty nice place to have a baby shower because they have rooms that are catered and perfect to host. what I heard they also utilize some of the rooms for teaching Irish dance classes. There are four floors of rooms to be utilized. There are also ample parking on both sides of the building. It is conveniently located next to that I 94 Expressway What's very interesting about this place as they also have a bar like restaurant on the first floor.“

“Believe it or not, my love wears a claddagh ring that I purchased for her when we enjoyed an amazing trip to Ireland earlier this year. So we knew we had to visit the Claddagh Ring Pub one of these days. This neighborhood pub on Foster Avenue received some interesting "pub" earlier this season when they promised to pay for all patrons' tabs if the Bears lost to the Broncos, and sure enough the Bears blew a big lead and Claddagh Ring Pub wound up on the news because of the promo. We finally made it here one random Sunday afternoon as we stumbled in after another Bears loss. The bar was pretty packed, but the owner was super friendly to us. He noted that there was a back room with some elbow room, along with some free tavern style pizza that was not gobbled up yet by the fans. Later when I went up to the bar to order drinks, he made sure that I had the chance to place a drink order with minimal waiting. What a swell guy! Loved my pint of Guinness! Perhaps we looked like newbies, but he really seemed to care about us with his customer service. Check out their website for sports specials and happy hour deals. After our enjoyable visit, my love and I look forward to a return visit to Claddagh Ring Pub.“

“This is a wonderful local dive bar! I live around the corner and started coming here a few weeks ago. The regulars and bartenders are very friendly. There is live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. The place does get pretty full, but the people watching is always on point. One thing to note is that they don't serve food, which is a bummer when the 1am drunk food cravings hit. Pretty clean bathrooms for a dive bar too so that's a huge plus!“
“It was alright. Lotta pool sharks; but they were cool.I bought a beer and tipped on it — but fer some reason the bartender wouldn't take it?(It's not, like, I gave a her pocket change. It was $3 on a, like, $4 beer.)That was weird.Karaoke is always fun, tho'.“

I was not disappointed with the flavor.Service was great staff is all friendly and promptIll definitely be back to try other meal options. And explore the interior more“
“The team working was great, friendly, attentive and that alone provided a fantastic atmosphere. We arrived with a group of 14 and they made sure we (and everyone) were all taken care of throughout the evening. Good drink specials, good music all in the heart of a Chicago neighborhood sounds like a winner to me. We will be returning, and if you’re ever in the neighborhood you should stop by. Thanks Six Penny Team. Steve O Rodriguez on behalf of LBSC.“

“I nearly missed reviewing this place... back in April I had just arrived from a horribly long overseas flight. My friends were kind enough to take me to this pub for some dinner and we were pleased at our food and dining experience. When you walk in you are met with traditional Irish decor, and a lovely fireplace in the dining area. Very welcoming and clean. I liked it immediately. Heather H. waited on us and was very friendly and helpful with making some dinner suggestions. It is a very cute interior and warm environment. My friends got Guiness of course and I was pleased to see they had a surprisingly good selection of white wine, so I opted for a glass of the Joel Gott sauvignon blanc ($9.25). I was starving and got the Wild Alaskan blackened salmon ($19.95) MM MMM with a side Salad and OH YES house made blue cheese dressing to die for. Very generous portion of fish, perfectly cooked. My friends shared a basket of crinkle cut fries ($5), curry sauce ($3.50) and Irish sausage ($6), plus Southwest Chicken Egg Rolls ($7.95). The food and drinks are very reasonably priced, and the food is really good. The dinner menu has a very impressive selection, a little bit of everything.“

“On this night, we visited our local Iowa Hawkeye bar, Gracie O’Malley’s to enjoy some NCAA women’s basketball amazing number 22 Kaitlyn Clark. This bar is pretty big and well appointed, with lots of TVs for viewing and an outdoor seating area when the weather permits. They have grace solution of beers in full bar with some delightful proprietary cocktails.Their kitchen is banging out some amazing dishes, such as the pulled pork poutine, the grace, O’Malley‘s burger and the southwest chicken sandwich. The burger was juicy and delicious. The chicken sandwich was crispy and spicy and you came on a brioche bun. Topped with fresh tomatoes and purple onions. Very well and very tasty. I paired it with mac & cheese, which is not a traditional mac & cheese by any means. This mac & cheese was out of this world. Fantastic! The only reason why this place did not get a five star rating was because they were short a waitress on this particular Monday. However, our bartender was very social and accommodating. Will definitely be back again for final four.“

“I like to go here on Saturday night for a drink when I want a taste of some live jazz/blues music. You do not need to plan ahead an get tickets, pay a cover or worry about parking. It is a very intimate setting where you really see the musicians close enough to see their fingers moving and shared ques between the band members. Everyone is pretty friendly and the drinks are priced right. Would recommend if you need a quick Blues fix on a Saturday night.“
“So they have a "Raspberry Bubbles" cocktail, which is a Brut Champagne, Malibu Coconut Rum, with raspberry purée! Served in a classic Champagne coupe very 1920s / classic Hollywood! A traditional Chicago Lincoln Park Pub! I loved the quaintness of it all! The coconut shrimp paired wonderfully with the yummy spirits! Service was awesome (yay to Jack the bartender who was absolutely awesome“

“I’m glad that I listened to the reviews! Such a warm, friendly environment! Very attentive service. The place was packed and there were two servers but they were great with everything! Great Irish food, and a wonderful atmosphere! We were missing Ireland, so we came here & tried a little bit of the fish and chips, shepherd’s pie and cornbeef & cabbage bites. A great place to go! “

“Really cool place. My kids and I enjoy any and everything paranormal, and when we heard about this place we decided to take a trip. The bartender was awesome, telling us some stories of her paranormal experiences, and gave us some history of the place. Then some patrons were at the bar and one came over and told us some more. Very nice people. Ordered the Calamari, Chicken Tacos, Legend burger, and Mushroom Swiss burger. All Amazing, my daughter who is the pickiest eater of them all loved the chicken tacos. Burgers were prepared perfectly and were absolutely amazing. Calamari was also very good, just wish the portion was bigger for the price (photo attached is after we started eating some). I’m not a big beer drinker but I ordered the Maplewood Krispie Cakes on tap, and I might come back just for the beer alone. All in all, amazing experience, wonderful service, and we will be back for the ghost tours around spooky season.“

“Awesome food/drinks and service! Also just as awesome is the interior decor here, especially the ceiling and the top of the bar. How many places have the name and contact info of other businesses on the ceiling along with pennies under the glass top of a table? LOL That is so cool and unique!“

“When you hear the name Shanahan's, one would think that this is an Irish pub, but it's actually touted as a creole restaurant. I have been to this restaurant in Forest Park, Illinois many times, and have mixed feelings about it. Oftentimes, the food is delicious but there have been other times when I found certain dishes to be inconsistent; such as the Seafood gumbo (sometimes too salty but other times decent). On the other hand, the Shrimp & Grits, the Fried Calamari and the hurricane drinks are consistently delicious. Dress is casual and food prices are moderate and a good value for the amount of food served. The staff is friendly and attentive. The locals love this place (which sometimes causes a noisy atmosphere) so get there early to avoid the crowds, as well as to secure on-street parking.“

“The karaoke here brings in all types. Some bad, but mostly good. This place was rocking out to the Mulan soundtrack and Lady Gaga, but struggled through Dixieland Delight. Good beers on tap, and they know how to pour a Guinness. This is a quality Irish bar in Lincoln Park.“

“The James Joyce is a local treasure. It’s the epitome of an Irish pub; friendly, good service, and a social gathering place. The owners have made it this way, and they will come by to meet you and welcome you. They have events like the upcoming “1/2 way to St Patrick’s Day”, and it’s absolutely worth coming by for a pint. Sláinte?“
