“The portions are HUGE for what you pay for. It’s really good. The only thing I would say is use a little bit of seasoning. Salt and pepper and Tabasco only goes so far. BUT 100% going back either way. The vibe in there is so quiet so peaceful. When it’s crowded it’s a lively energy. Waitress is super sweet the lady at the check out counter helped me find what kind of coffee they have there my husband loved it. All around had a great time.Parking: Parking lot in front and on side of building”

“Have wanted to check this place out forever and finally did last night. The owner and staff were welcoming and excited to have me try their food, which did not disappoint! The honey hot and bbq sauced tenders were perfect and really high quality. The fries were a great crinkle cut that came with this excellent homemade sauce. Will be making a regular place to stop!”

“Was a little Leary at first when they wouldn’t take a reservation or have a phone number.. but I will say we were WOWed by the actual place. Food was absolutely delicious, drinks were good, service was good even for a party of 10 on a Saturday. Place is small so I understand no reservations. Hope they’re able to stay open. Best smash burger I’ve had & Seoul bowl was DELISH!”

“On Good Friday after church we planned to go to Burnt Barrel. Unfortunately there was a long wait and we weren't feeling it, so we decided to cruise by Lakeview just in case it was less busy. We lucked out, people were leaving as we pulled in. This was only the second time I'd been there, but the first time was for an event, and I didn't eat. The atmosphere is nice, it's not super loud and tables are far enough apart that you don't feel like others are encroaching into your space. Our waitress was fantastic, I wish I had caught her name, I'm usually good about that, but it had been a long day...anyway, she was funny and engaging, and had a great personality. I stared at the menu...so many great options...I decided I'd go with a burger. I love a good burger! But I'm also very picky about them, I enjoy the taste of meat, I like it pretty rare and I do not like it over seasoned. I ordered it medium rare with American cheese, lettuce, onion and mayo. It came bedded on a brioche bun...They're truly the best with their soft, delicious sweetness. I have to say this burger was in my top 5 for sure, if it's consistent it could be in my top 2. It came cooked perfectly, when I say medium rare I'm knowing that it'll still cook a bit once plated and it'll end up in front of me a perfect medium leaning rare and that's exactly what I got. The texture and taste of the meat was exactly what I'm looking for, with no obvious taste of seasoning, but instead a perfectly cooked quality burger. I can't wait to go back, I'd like to try some other things, but that burger was so good that I don't know if I'll be able to resist it!”

It was an open faced burger with brisket, vegan mozzarella, pickled onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, bacon jam & barbecue sauce on the side. Bacon jam made it taste like I had brunch. And a side of sweet potato fries.I took half of it the meal with me.There is cool grafiti art, traditional arcade games, and an outdoor patio. Wow! “Flight is one of our go-to places in Yorkville. They always have great beer both on tap or to take off the wall. They are extremely family friendly, as we typically take both our 2 little ones with us and its never been a problem. I would say the best part is the staff and ownership.....everyone is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend!”

Service is polite and the atmosphere is to be expected for a country type diner. “Just got an ice cream here. They have so many options, both in ice cream flavors and in the cones and bowls! I got one scoop of the Gansito flavored ice cream, which has sprinkles already in it! It was also HUGE for one scoop! The lady behind the counter was so nice too, she let me try a sample and let me look around before I ordered. I'll definitely bring my family here some time.
