This used to be a great family restaurant, but now it's more like a cafeteria. You order at the counter and it's brought out to you. Self-serve drinks from the old server station and the food was not what I remembered from pre-pandemic. Granted, the pandemic really hit restaurants hard, but this was beyond disappointing.

My baby was crying so one employee(Joe) asked me to shut her up or leave because it was upsetting other customers. Then when manager (Emanuel) came over as I tried to complain he turned around and told me to take my baby outside in the snow and cold to calm her down. I guarantee my child isn’t the only one who cries and it was absolutely unbelievable we were treated this way!

You pay as soon as you enter and then have to go get your own sodas or drinks. Your group then goes and finds a table. There was five of us in our group by the way. We ordered different items for each person. I had lasagna which may have been the worst i've ever had in my life. The other four people at the table , each had something different and none of them said that it was good. If you're in bloomington , looking for somewhere to eat , choose somewhere other than Avanti's, actually it's hard for me to say that because this used to be one of my favorite places. Won't ever go again.

Horrible service since Covid. Why is every other place operating as normal except this place? Dine in is not the same as it used to be. It’s is awkwardly quiet. You have to place your order as soon as you walk in then find yourself a seat. You fill your own drink in the back of house almost seems like a dirty gas station. After you pay for your food all them employees disappear to the back. This place is EMPTY! I remember coming here and there would be a wait to get a table. They’ll be out of business sooner or later. It’s not the food, it’s the employees and atmosphere!

The beef sandwich was disgusting, and my husband's wasn't better. Dry bread, minimal meat, could have gotten better at a gas station. Improve the food and the decor, yuck.

Not the place it is to be. No waitresses to take your order. You order at the counter, get your own beverage, and your food comes out all at once. The cheese sticks were not very warm, and my lasagna was burnt. Not at all worth the price of the food.

Food was fantastic as always. Food delivered to table and no one came back to check on me. Chinese waiter very rude . Ask a simple question for a to go container he barked back ..your to go container is up front. Other customers looked at me and said well that was a little harsh response from him. Glad I did not leave a tip.
