“We were in town and decided to stop by Fiesta Ranchera today, funny coincidence is that we knew our waiter from a previous restaurant. Evan was very kind and always very generous, it was such a pleasure to talk to him! I ordered the fajita quesadilla with chicken and my husband ordered the chimichangas with shredded beef. Nice big servings and quite delicious, always made fresh! We got in there before the dinner rush so that was even better because it was quiet in the restaurant and we got our food within 5 minutes! We will definitely be stopping back by next time we're in town!“

“This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in town. The Chilaquilles are a mainstay and will feed you for several meals.

One of my primary barometers of a Mexican restaurant are the rice and beans. If a restaurant can't get those right, it's not a great sign. Not insurmountable, but it's a deciding factor in my choice. El Porton has rice and beans that would be on my last meal.“

It offers the same items as many of the other Mexican restaurants, and the ones I have tried so far are pretty good, so you can't really go wrong if you have a favorite dish on the menu. But, if you are feeling a little adventurous, try Ramon's Spicy Special. The mushroom cream sauce is really quite good.“

Folks were friendly(we were the only white folks in the place), the produce was top notch, they had an incredible selection of dried peppers in large, medium, and small quantities.
