“The team working was great, friendly, attentive and that alone provided a fantastic atmosphere. We arrived with a group of 14 and they made sure we (and everyone) were all taken care of throughout the evening. Good drink specials, good music all in the heart of a Chicago neighborhood sounds like a winner to me. We will be returning, and if you’re ever in the neighborhood you should stop by. Dennis Melzer runs a jam on Friday once a month. Great people. Wonderful times I have loved hanging out while I have been in Chicago while I was a guest in Dennis's apartment and he took me to this place.“

“From the moment I walked in. Jack was there to help me get tables together for a party of 10. we had a wonderful time but even better was the service. the food was good. the drinks were great but the service was immaculate! Thanks to both our servers each named Haley. they did a fantastic job and we really appreciate it. we had a wonderful night and would come back again and again. thank you Jack and everyone there!“

“We loved the ambiance of this Irish Pub! The Christmas decor and lights make it a wonderland! The band was great and the pub has so much charm!
This all made up for the 3 bartenders who were more worried about talking to their friends than waiting on customers. We waited 20 min, as did customers next to us, staff looked right at us and kept talking to their friends. A bartender with curly hair- she actually scowled at us for asking to place a drink order. Exception was one bartender who had very long straight dark brown hair: she was awesome and was doing all of the others work with a huge smile on her face! She was great! It was a busy night that the restaurant could have had higher cash flow if the others focused on drink orders. We'll be back though, really great place!“

“Shanahan's is one of my favorite places in Forest Park, I moved from Forest Park a few years ago but I still go to Shanahan's every chance I get. Their food is always excellent and they have the best staff on the street, they always remember my name and my order. I will give them more than 5 stars if I could!!“

“Rose and Jake were phenomenal!! It was a tuesday and they were busy as expected but the service was amazing! Rose was busting her butt taking all the tables and making PHENOMENAL drinks, while Jake checked on us if Rose couldn’t and helped run drinks to us. We didn’t have to wait for anything despite the business, overall an amazing experience and both of them deserve a raise! Both were so friendly and personable that my friend and I have already scheduled the next time for us to come visit and have a few drinks!“
