Irish Times Reviews
Back when I lived in the area, Irish Times had just opened and I stopped in to have a Guinness. Now, I have had Guinness all over the Chicago area and never has a Chicago pint ever approached the magical, otherworldly flavor of a pint consumed in Ireland. I don't know if it's the water, the proximity to the brewery or just some kind of strange magic that happens to Guinness in Ireland, but I've never had better. Great place to visit . The owner and staff are wonderful , as is the food . one word - fantastic !
Thought We would enjoy a pint and some good food. Walked in around 2:30pm and seated ourselves. Sat for about ten minutes. Waitress/bartender did not acknowledge us. She saw us at table but took care of her regular who came in after us at the bar. Gal walked in and both waitresses/bartenders rushed over to her to give her a hug and have a chat. We walked out and will not be back. (The whole place had five customers in there).

Irish Times offers a great time with delicious Reuben sandwiches and fish and chips. Their Shepherds Pie is also a standout. The cozy atmosphere features a dark, Irish pub-like vibe with exposed brick, wood paneling, and plenty of Irish-themed decor. The background music of U2 and Sinead adds to the cool ambiance. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The fish fry on Fridays is a must-try, with free refills and a perfect pairing with a green river. Customers praise the authentic atmosphere and outstanding service, as well as the impressive Guinness pints that rival those found in Ireland. With a private beer garden that can accommodate around 50 people, Irish Times provides a versatile and enjoyable setting for both casual and lively gatherings.
