“This was another great place we stopped by for dinner during our AirBnB at the Big Red Barn. The staff and everyone were so nice. Once we were done our meals which were great, we played some slots and won $75 bucks after playing for 30 minutes. You also cannot beat the prices. We will be back again.”

The drinks and food are excellent, but what I enjoy most of all is the atmosphere from the selection to purchase to the kind staff. The custom drink orders and staff picks are always fun to checkout as well! My favorite is the Abbey drink!”

“Best custard by far in STL and StCharles. Perfect vanilla flavor and texture, I can’t explain it but no other frozen custard shops compare. Both regular and light options are delicious. The most perfect concretes we’ve ever had. Probably come here once a week if not more. We live near by but would drive out of my way to come here. Have not tried their hard ice cream. I’ve heard good things about their drumsticks. There are many frozen custard places around but Doozles is king ?.”

The Fill Inn is a family owned restaurant, in Batchtown, IL. Their employees are always fun, friendly and quick.I tried The Fill Inn in the first place because my friends and family recommended it, it was also local. This business has also been there for many nights after basketball and football games. I am qualified to write this review because I have been to many homestyle restaurants. I have been going to The Old Fill Inn for 10+ years. I go here at least 4-5 times a month. I also know many workers there. My family and I have had many family gatherings and just dinners with friends here.I recommend this product for many reasons. First because the staff is amazing. Every time I go in there they remember my whole family's names. They are always so kind, caring, and friendly. They will always stay and have a good conversation with you. They also check up on you to make sure everything is good. They are also very quick, never an empty drink at your table.Reason two why I recommend The Old Fill Inn is because they have many options. From chicken strips to cheesecake they have so much variety. In the summer my dad loves to get catfish fritters and the rest of the family enjoys other types of fish. On nights with my great grandma when she didn’t want to cook we would enjoy the fried chicken dinner with our family.They also have homemade desserts like cheesecake in various flavors, ice cream, ice cream cakes, and pies. Which you can place orders and have written on if you would like. If you have an event you would like to have their food at, they cater as well. Finally I would like to recommend The Fill In for any ones who needs a quick dinner. You can call ahead and get to-go orders. There have been many nights after long days of work and sports where we have picked up pizza for quick dinners or got to-go.I would recommend this restaurant to crowds after church, sports families, and really anyone who would like a good homestyle meal. Whether you're busy, don't want to cook, want catering, need a place for a family dinner, or just want to go out to eat. The Fill Inn is just the place. Before going to The Old Fill Inn, know on Thursdays the special is chicken so note it might be a little more busy, they are also not open on mondays. Now knowing this, stop reading and go try it out.Kid-friendliness: There are always kids here and they supply high chairs and books if needed.”

“The salads are amazing. They are gorgeous salads. I have never seen anything so pretty before in my 69 years of life. I have heard the employees in particular are amazing workers. They are so hard working and so nice. This place is great to go to if you want a decedent and wonderful place to eat. However, the latte was bland and not to par. I asked for my latte to be hot, and it came out lukewarm. I am disappointed in the girl who was wearing a bandana up at the counter. I watched her make my latte incorrectly. Please ensure she has the proper training. Thank you!”

“We were at Fastlane and decided to try Shirley's on a whim. A little intimidating from the parking lot but what the heck. There were only a couple customers at the bar. Ashley was our friendly, smiling waitress. We ordered the trash wings at Ashley's suggestion. Also, chili, BLT & fries, burger, chicken noodle soup. We were pleasantly surprised! Everything was delicious. The BLT was about 3" thick. Trash wings were great. Fresh brewed tea, soda in cans. The manager/chef(??) came out to see how everything was. Shirley's looks like it would be a great place to come for a night out. I would call it a Dive Bar, but food was good, staff was great. Might stop by some evening to check it out.Parking: Big parking lot right on 94.Wheelchair accessibility: It's all one level so wheelchairs should have no problem.”

“I used McSmith's Kitchen & Catering for my friend's bridal shower. They had the perfect option for the number of people we were hosting and it was significantly cheaper than most of the other places we had checked out. The people I dealt with were super friendly & offered delivery to the event. They have some of the best gooey butter cake I've ever had & their salads and pasta salad were raved on by the guests at the shower. I highly recommend and would use them again!”

“Great service, very nice staff. But most importantly GREAT food. The Taco supremos, deep fried peta bread shell, was FIRE. Literally the best taco I have ever had. The shell was super flavorful and the pico on top was perfectly mixed. Queso dip was also top tier. All around 10/10.”
