Booby's Bar and Sandwich

You get what you pay for, plain and simple. Sandwich was loaded good quality, fresh meat and the vinaigrette dressing brought it to another level. We will definitely return next time in Carbondale. Buy local!!

Great atmosphere—definitely reviving that "energetic and fun" feeling about Carbondale (especially love that they're connecting with local artists and giving them show space!). The owners are good, honest, and modest people, and the amount of love that they're putting into this place is impressive. They've even gotten original—and delicious—recipes from the old Booby's! Definitely suggest if you're looking for quality sandwiches from people who care about what they're doing.

We went to Boobys today about 2:00pm. Not good. We actually watched this. There was a full trash can employee pushed trash down in trash can & immediately went back to slicing meat. It was so gross. No washing of hands.I DO NOT recommend boobys in Carbondale. It's a cooler with processed meat. All they do is slice it & presto sub sandwich

Amazing. Everything from food to feel was awesome. Sandwiches are absolute perfection and the sauce that comes with it pairs so well. You also get chips and a pickle with. Very friendly staff that make you feel welcomed and just overall perfect the amazing experience. If there was ten stars I’d give that. Great work guys!

Great food! Sandwiches are great I’ve tried a couple of them, the bread is really good and they come with a lot of meat. The sandwiches come with a bag of chips and a pickle, the atmosphere is fantastic, it seems like there is always live music. It’s been one of my new favorite places to go! Not sure where else you can get a sub, chips and a pickle for 11.50 plus tax etc. Let’s go!

Over priced, soggy sandwich. It was wrapped upside down too so it unfolded on itself. Also, they dont hand you napkins. I paid 12$ plus tax for a tiny sandwich.

This place has almost furniture too. Maybe everyone there should try focusing less on appearing cool and more focus should be on running an afforable place with some furniture in it. Just an idea ?

Loved seeing my old favorites, like the McBride and Bruce. But they stopped serving sandwiches at 6pm. Does anyone know if they changed that to 7pm?

I love that they had grab to same-day-made sandwich’s. You know how you dance dance dance dance and suddenly you’re a lil hungry but the kitchen is closed? They got you.
The beer garden was such a lovely touch. We loved the seating on the north side of the garden: very “lounge with me” vibe. It could benefit from a bigassfan and webstaurantstore has some on sale. Big box store carry them for about 1/3.

Anyway, great place. 2 live bands the nice I went.

went in when there were zero other customers to wait on. because the employees wanted to stop and chat with each other repeatedly, it managed to take 15 minutes to make 3 sandwiches. when I brought it up to them, they DID NOT CARE! first and last visit.

If it doesn't taste exactly like i remember... it's really, really, really close so i can't complain. It's amazing. A genuine classic brought back to life. This sandwich is DESERVING of being resurrected. Delicious!!! More than nostalgic, I want this regularly! Love it!
